1. Indifinite Pronoun- Nakadepende parin sa magiging Subject tho madalas Singular naman ito
e.g
plural >>> All of the customers have complained
Singular>>> All of the money has been spent
2. The Conjunction (AND)
* If two Subjects are joined by "AND" they typically required a plural Verb.
e.g
The Cow and Pig are jumping.
* The verb will be singular if the two subject joined by AND refers to the same person
e.g
Bread and butter is my mom's Favorite food.
3. "As well As" and "Along with" - singular
e.g
Trevor Along with his friends, is coming to the party.
4. "Both" and "AND" - plural
e.g
Both Nancy and joee are Momoland members.
5. "OR"
* Two singular Noun Connected by "OR" the verb will be SINGULAR
* But if Plural noun and Singular Noun connected .... kung ano malapit sa verb yun ang susundin (see the example below).
e.g
Mr. Lance or his sisters visit everyday.
Mr.Lance or his sister visits everyday.
6. " Measurement " Quantity " - Singular
e.g
Fifty dollars is a lot of money.
7. Collective Noun
e.g Army, Class etc.
Singular - pag sama sama nila ginagawa yung action
Plural- kapag hiwahwalay nila ginagawa yung action
The Class Makes a diffirence because of this.
(since Class as a whole ginawa nila yung action kaya sila ay SINGULAR, merong instance na dinidivide yung Class and seperately ginawa yung action then that would be PLURAL)
8. Compound Noun (pano gagawing plural???)
Hyphenated
eg. Mother -in-Law >>> Mothers-in- Law (ilalagay natin sa noun ang "S" )
No Noun
e.g Go- Between >>> Go-Betweens (pag walang noun sa dalawang word, ilagay sa last word ang "S")
with Preposition
e.g Passerby >>> Passersby ("BY" ang preposition pero since may NOUN tayo w/c is passer dun natin ilalagay ang "S")
with "FUL"
e.g Spoonful >>> Spoonfuls (Once may "FUL" sa end natin ilalagay ang S)
