Tenses

PRESENT TENSE

1. Present Simple - palaging ginagawa (Do, Does)

Clues: Everyday, Always

e.g

He drives everyday.

2. Present Continuous - ngayon nangyayari (AM doing, Is doing)

Clues: Right now

e.g

He is driving right now.

3. Present Perfect Continuous - nangyari noon at nangyayari parin sa kasalukuyan (Have been doing , has been doing)

Clues: Since, For

e.g

He has been driving since 1997.

4. Present Perfect - Nangyari at natapos na (have or has done).

Clues: so far, already, not yet, recently, ever, never , for the past

e.g

He has been a driver for the past 20 years.

PAST TENSE

1. Past Simple- D or ED

Clues: Time period, last week, year ago

e.g

He drove me to the airport many years ago.

2. Past Continuous - was doing, were doing

e.g

He was driving the car at half past two o'clock.

3. Past Perfect Continuous- nangyayari yung action in the past tapos may nag-interrupt

Clues: Time period + when

e.g

He had been driving car for three hours when phone rang.

4. Past Perfect - natapos na bago may mangyaring iba (had done)

Clues: Before

He had driven Mr. Santos home before we left for the airport.

FUTURE TENSE

1. Be Going to - is/ are going to

Clues: Sure na sure na, 100% sure

e.g

I am going to drive you to the airport.

2. Future Simple - Ngayon lang napagdesisyunan or posible pa lang gawin

Clues: Will

e.g

I will drive you to the airport.

e.g2

If it rains, I will probably drive you to the airport.

3. Future Continuous- I will be doing

Clues: may specific moment

e.g

I will be driving you to the airport at 2:30 tomorrow

4. Future Perfect - mangyayari at matatapos (will have done)

e.g

I will have driven you to the airport by the time your dad lands.

5.Future Perfect Continuous- will have been doing

e.g

I will have been driving you for three hours when we reach the half way point.
