Chapter 3 - The 1st expedition

(Y/N)'s POV

We had been part of the Survey Corps for three months. We became good friends with Erwin but he was still our superior, so we had to call him on his title. It was clear that the formal things got on his nerves. There was always an annoyed impression on his face when we called him sir or squad leader. I knew a started to like him. But I was afraid of it at the same time. What if one of us dies on an expedition. I couldn't stop thinking about that. However I enjoyed every time that I could spend with him.

One day Hanji and I were in the medical room and tried to prepare for the next expedition which were in two days.
"(Y/N) I'm so bored. Let's do something interesting!" She complained while I was trying to collect all the supplies what I'll bring with me on the up coming expedition.
"Hanji you've been suffering in that damn chair for an hour. If you really want to do something, then find Mike and Erwin and torture them." I said fairly stressed.
"Sorry..." She mumbled. I sat down and sighed.
"Don't. I didn't mean to speak with you in a tone like that." I said to her.
"I understand. The pressure on you is pretty big." She said with a smile, ran out of the office and slammed the door.

Hanji 's POV

'Poor (Y/N). She has a lot of work to do. She really needs a little break.' I thought and ran to find Erwin. I knew they both liked eachother but neither of them will admit it. Then I saw Mike.
"Mikeeee!!!!" I yelled and he turned to look at me.
"What do you need Hanji?" He asked in a calm voice.
"Help (Y/N) and Eyebrows get together. I can say that without any doubt that they have a crush on each other." I told him with pleading eyes.
"No. It's non of our business. They will know the time when they have to confess their feelings." He said and went into his room.
'Everyone is so boring. Then I guess I have to take this situation under my control.' I thought. I ran to my room, take two paper, a pen and started to write secret admirer letters. After I had finished with them I went to Erwin's office to slip the letter in his office. But I saw (Y/N) and Erwin were walking in his office.
'I can't hear anything. To hell with the letters, it's more interesting. I have to know more about it.'  I thought.

(Y/N)'s POV

After Hanji left I countinued my job. I checked the supplies one more time when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I answered. Erwin came in. I almost saluted but he stopped me with a sentence.
"Don't do it." I smirked and offered him a seat but he refused. "I've already told Mike and Hanji to don't use the formal things when nobody is around." He explained to me." Do you need any help?" He asked me with a kind smile. I returned his smile and replied.
" No, thanks. I'm almost done." As I finished my job he talked again.
"I wanted to speak with you." I looked up at him and he countinued."Can you come with me to my office?" I nodded and followed him. When we reached it, he opened the door and lead me in. After he closed the door and told." The commander asked me to give it to you." He put a package on the desk." We have to distinguish our doctor even if she wears a hood." He finished and smiled again. I took the bag and opened it up. There was a white cape in it instead of a green one. The wings of freedom crest was also different from the usual.
