Chapter 6 - Finally

(Y/N)'s POV

As I were running I felt my empty stomach. A few minutes later I noticed an apple tree. I climbed up the tree and leaves hid me from the titans. I ate many apples after that my eyelids became heavy. ' I have ran all they. I don't expect otherwise.'
I closed my eyes but I couldn't fell asleep I was too nervous. I spent an hour there then countinued my way towards the walls.

//Time skip//

Luckily the titans didn't attack me. It was dawn. I was out of breath but I could see the walls. There were 30 meters between me and the wall when I took a deep breath and yelled as loud as I could. "Open the freaking gate!" As this sentences left my mouth, I heard the garrison regiment yelling to eachother, but they let me in. I fell to the ground and tried to catch my breath.
"Doctor (Y/N)? Are you alright?" One soldier asked pretty shocked.
"Yeah, I'm fine but can I borrow your horse?" I pointed towards the animal.
"Of course, but don't you need medical help?" He asked worriedly. I shook my head and get on the horse. The animal went as fast as it could. 'This poor thing must hate me now' I thought as I forced it to go faster.

When I reached the HQ I could see the shock on everyone's face who saw me.
"(Y/N)?" I turned towards Hanji who couldn't believe her eyes. I had a wide smile.
"The only and the one." A moment later she jumped and hugged me.
"You are alive! I can't believe it!"
"Hanji let me go I can't breathe." With that she stepped back.
"Come, you have to speak with Erwin. I have never seen him like that." We ran towards his office. She told me to stay outside until her sign. Well Hanji still didn't know the meaning of knocking.
"Erwin! You won't believe who I've found."
"I'm not in that mood, Hanji. Please leave unless you have something important to discuss." Hanji came out from the office and gave me a wild smile and a nod. I stepped in.
"Erwin..." He stood up and nearly ran to close me in his emberance. I immediately hugged him back.
"I thought you are dead." He said quietly and pulled me closer to him provided it was possible. "When Hanji informed me about you that day, I wanted to bring you back because there's something what I need to tell you." I looked up at him and he countinued. "We've been known eachother for 7 years and I always thought that is the best option to don't let anyone close to me. But when I realised I lost you, I regret that I didn't tell you this earlier, but I've got one more chance to tell you, I love you, (Y/N)."
'It's unusual. He never regrets anything. He's the one, who always tells us to never do that.' I was fairly surprised.
"When I was outside I was so afraid. I hoped that you were alright. I wanted to see you. I wanted to know you weren't injured and you were safe. I love you too, Erwin." I told him and put a hand on his cheek. He leaned into my touch and kissed my palm and said. "Don't leave me again."
"I won't. I promise."

Hanji's POV

"Yessssss!!!" I hissed as I was standing in front of Erwin's office.I punched in the air in happiness.
"Squad leader? What happened?" Moblit came behind me and asked.
"Eyebrows and (Y/N) finally confessed to eachother." I said with a huge smile.
"Squad leader Hanji." I turned around and saluted. "The soldiers told me that doctor (Y/N) has come back. Is that true?" He asked
"Yes, sir. She is with Squad leader Erwin." I pointed towards the office.

(Y/N)'s POV

"What happened?" Erwin asked as he gently touched the bloody lint on my arm.
"Don't worry. It'll heal just I need to bandage it." I told. Soon we heard a knock.
"Name and business." Erwin let my arm and responded.
"Commander Shadis. I need to speak with you." He commented.
"Come in." Shadis stepped in and looked at me.
"So the rumor is true. How could you survive?" He asked in amazement.
"Well it's a little bit long story, sir." I answered and started to tell what happened outside.

After I finished, Shadis left but Hanji and Moblit came in.
"I'm so happy!!" Hanji ran to hug Erwin and me. "When will you two have little Erwins and (Y/N)s? Please name on of them after me!" Hanji was full of energy and happiness but I was just emberrassed.
"Squad leader the Doctor came back about an hour ago. I think we should let them." Moblit said and tried to get Hanji off of us.

//Time skip//

Four months have passed since Erwin and I confessed to eachother. I was waiting for the blond section commander who was on a meeting. Soon I heard a knock and let the person in.
"So what happened?" I asked Erwin as he sat down.
"The military police asked for the scouts' help." He answered.
"I've already known that the most of them are useless but it's worse than I thought." The blonde male chuckled at my statement.
"It was their best option in this situation. There's a band in the underground who must be caught." He explained.
"A bunch of soldiers against some pity criminals? It's hilarious. I must take band's side now." I laughed. " But seriously how will you catch them?" I asked curiously.
"I'll take the bests from the corps. Hanji, Mike and you and the military police will send a team as well." I nodded. "I'll go speak with the others. Do you want to come?" He asked with a smile.
"Why not?" I asked and stood up.

About ten minutes later we were in Erwins office. He explained the situation to the others and gave us green capes without the crest. After that we said goodbyes and went to our rooms to sleep.
