Chapter 13 - The permission

About two years later Levi was the one who got a promotion. He became a corporal. There were only a few people in his squad but without any doubt they were the best soldiers.

An other expedition... We set up a basis and did our routines. When I finished with my duties I went over Petra and Olou, who were part of the special squad, and started to chat with them. Minutes later we heard Hanji yell.
"What do you mean? Erwin! You can't be serious!" Hanji  stormed out of the tent.
"Give up Squad Leader.  We can't capture a titan. That's impossi-" The section commander grabbed Olou by his collar.
"Imagine that Levi wants to kill you. How could you defend yourself?"
"I wouldn't have a chance."
"You could win if you found out everything about him. His routine. How he fights ect."
"Hanji..." I warned her. She took a deep breath and released him. She walked away and I followed her.

"You are maybe the only one who could persuade him. Last time our plan went pretty we-"
"No way, Hanji!!! We won't try it again nor something similar!"

//Flashback//

"You wanted to speak with me." I said as I entered Hanji's office.
"(Y/N), I have an idea but you're the main character in it."
"What kind of idea? Capture a titan?"
"Almost. In fact persuade Erwin to give permission."
"What do I have to do?"
"You have to wear this thing. I guess you know the rest of the plan." She hold up a lingerie. My eyes widened and my face became crimson red but took the 'cloth' and took it on in my room. After I had finished I went in Erwin's office.
"How can I help (Y/N)?" He asked with a smile which I returned and went behind him. I put my hand on his shoulder an leaned down to kiss his neck.
"You have been working too hard, Love." I went next to him, sat in his lap and kissed him. I took off my jacket and shirt. Erwin put his hands on my waist and he was about to kiss me when Levi came in the office. He looked at us and said.
"I don't want to know... "He turned around to leave and added. "Next time close the door you sick bastards."

//End of the flashback//

"Oh man that was funny!" Hanji was holding her stomach while she was laughing. I didn't say anything I just gave her a death glare. Suddenly we saw the red sign that was shot up by the sentinel.
"It's my chance!" She yelled and got on her horse.
"Hanji! Wait!" Erwin and I shouted in the same time. I got on my horse as well and followed my crazy friend.
"(Y/N) come back!" I heard the blonde commander as he yelled.

I followed Hanji into the forest where we saw a titan.
"I'm Hanji! Do you want to come with us inside the walls?" The titan followed and tried to catch us. Everything went well untill Levi and his squad got the titan's attention.
"Hey! Don't get involved!" I yelled to them. We went after the titan. Without doubt it was an abnormal because it could orient and it had logical actions. Soon the creature stopped in front of a huge tree and started to smash its head against the tree.
"Tell us what's the matter. We'll help." Hanji said as she got off her horse and prepared her 3DMG. That was a nice idea since she had to use it.
"Don't go closer."
"Don't worry. I won't die." She went closer but suddenly Olou wanted to kill the titan but he was caught by the creature. Luckily Levi came and saved his subordinate and kill the titan.
"If you want to be a titan shit, then I won't stop you! But don't put others in danger because of your stupid dream!" The short male yelled at Hanji.
"In fact they don't have digestive system." Hanji corrected him. Then Levi turned towards me and said.
"And you... I thought you're wiser than her but it seems I was wrong!" After his little lecture Petra pointed towards the tree which on was a big hole with a corpse in it. We examined it. Soon Levi handed us a little notebook. The dead soldier's last few days were written in it.

When we arrived back we had to face with an angry Erwin.
"Hanji! (Y/N)! I made it clear what my decision is, didn't I?!"
"But Erwin-"
"Don't start Hanji. A soldier almost died. You two put him in a needlessly dangerous situation."
"Erwin. We could handle the situation.  Even if you hadn't sent them, we would have come back." I said.
"See?! Next time let Levi out of this!" Hanji shouted. The commander became more irritated.
"Be glad about you two don't have to face with the court-martial. I don't want an other action like this one. Understood?"
"Yes." He left after he had heard our answers.

//Time skip//

Hanji's POV

When we arrived back to the HQ I went to my office and read the wohle journal. It said the soldiers name was Ilse. Her whole squad died and she was the only survival. She met a titan which didn't want to eat her. The creature said a few words in our language. Unfortunately that titan couldn't control itself so it killed Ilse.

I wrote a letter and attached the notebook and went to Erwin's office. I went in put the documents on his desk, saluted and left. My next way lead to Ilse's parents and told them what happened with their daughter.

I headed back to the HQ when I met Levi, Petra and Olou.
"Squad leader I need to apologize. If I hadn't messed up, then you would have captured that titan."
"No. I'm the one who need to apologize. You almost died because of me."

//Time skip//

(Y/N)'s POV

Erwin and I were waiting for Hanji. Finally she entered the office.
"I'm here."
"(Y/N), Hanji you can get that permission."
"Wait a second." I waved. "Do you mean what I'm thinking you want to tell us?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Yes. You can capture a titan."
"Thank you, Eyebrows!!!" Hanji yelled and brought us into a tight hug.
