Aiden's POV
How did I end up feeling like this? One day I'm smiling feeling loved by everyone the next I feel like worthless trash. Friends found better people than me. Boyfriends came and went. I ended up alone. Alone, what a terrible word that comes so close to the word hate. One of the worst words to experience on a daily basis. Well, one person did stay. My abusive mother. After last year when my father left, she became an alcoholic which got the best of her. On some of her good nights I was merely shoved into a wall. Other days however, well, that's a different story.
"Aiden!!" my drunken mother calls from below. Speaking of the devil. She awaits."You're such a whore and have no life ahead of you! You're a ugly mistake that should have never been born!" my mother screams at me as I stand staring back at her. "What did I ever do to deserve this?! It's not my fault that my father left a drunk like you!" I screamed back as a beer bottle was thrown at my head. My vision become blurry and a pain shoots throughout my body. Without another thought, I stand and run out the door as fast as I can. "You should just kill yourself! No one would care!! No one will miss you!!" My mother yelled behind me as she slammed the door. I continue running out of the apartment complex, not looking back. No one would miss me. Now that stung a bit. Once I regain my vision, I decide to head to the park to regain my thoughts. The dark night was aproaching with glimmering stars right behind it. Stars and the moon always seemed to amaze me since I was a kid. I stare up at the stars and try to forget everything bad in my life. A sigh flows from my mouth as I pull my legs to my chest. The foggy cool air seemed to almost envelope me. It held me as if a mother was holding its child. "Are you alright?" a voice asks from in front of me, shaking me back into reality. I shrug and look up at a face that seemed so familiar. "Your head is bleeding. Come on. Let's go get it cleaned up" he says extending a hand out to me. I look at it then at him, questioning if I should take it or not. I'm going to need a place to stay. He looks familiar so maybe I might know him. I take it willingly and walk with him in a random direction. Where did I know this boy? Why is he so nice to me? Does someone finally care about me?
Adam's POV
I had to get away from it all. The hate was becoming so overwhelming. I honestly don't know how long I'm going to last like this. I needed to get out and enjoy the foggy Washington breeze. Walking into the park, I notice a girl staring at the ground. You could tell something was bugging her. Something was wrong. "Are you alright?" I ask as she lifts her head. When I caught a glimpse of her face my heart skipped a beat. She was beautiful. Where have I seen her before? Is she a fan or am I just mixing faces. I couldn't just leave her here. Especially since her head was wounded. "Your head is bleeding. Come on. Let's go get it cleaned up" I say offering her my hand. Once she finally takes it we begin our trip to my house. Hopefully she isn't a fan or this could turn out bad. "I'm Adam" I start out, looking over at her. "Aiden" she replies, glancing at me. This is going to bug me! Where did I know her?! "That's a beautiful name" I say, regretting it as soon as the words crawled their way out of my mouth. She blushes and looks down as I turn on my street. She follows close behind until we finally walk up to my house.
