Chapter 29: Today is Wendy

A/N: I am a Wendy stan myself, you'll know how lazy am I in updating but I'm going to give you a special chap for my Squirrel's day.💙 (The fact the I'm missing her presence too made me inspired to do this) Wendy unnie, please be well already😭

Irene's POV

As soon as we got back to Korea, I throw tantrums while on our way home to irritate Wendy. She wanted to stay at Seulgi's place to spend the night with me. The squirrel's not aware that I know what she have in her mind, she wanted to spend the night with me before her birthday. I may seem like I wasn't paying attention to her everytime but I wasn't that useless girlfriend who doesnt know the day when was her girlfriend was born.

"You're aware that Tomorrow's her birthday right?" Seulgi asked as she help me carry my luggage into the bedroom.

"Ofcourse."

"So why didn't you let her stay the night here? I'm sure she was upset." I sigh knowing that Seulgi was right, Infact Wendy didn't even hug me or bid goodbye to me as soon as she dropped us here. She didn't pay me a glance before driving her car away.

"I wanted to surprise her for tomorrow, and you know I wouldn't be able to do that if she's with me. You know how she trails behind my back." I massaged my temples, stress at the thought of my girlfriend being upset with me right now.

"She really love you." Seulgi smiled but why can I sense that it wasn't genuine? I shrugged from my thoughts and answered.

"And you know how much that idiot means to me too. She might be getting into my nerves but I think I won't last a day without her pestering me." It's true, Wendy's presence sometimes irritates me specially when she talks too much and become clingy but I'd rather have her by my side.

"So what are you going to do for her birthday?" She ask as she lean on the door frame with her arms crossed.

"Im choosing between throwing a party with you guys or taking her to my hometown in Daegu, you know just the two of us since she's on a break." I answered sitting at the edge of the bed.

She nodded at me and we were both startled when her phone rings.

"She's calling." She looked at me.

"Who?"

"Wendy."

"Answer it."

"Hey." Seulgi stares at me while talking to the phone."What do you mean you're still not home?" There was a long pause before Seulgi spoke."What the hell Wendy, when have you learn to do that?" Seulgi looked furious, and I can sense that it's something that I also wouldn't like. "Where are you?" Seulgi asked through gritted teeth.

I stood up and walk towards Seulgi as I panicked. "No you tell me where are you, you're not drinking tonight." Seulgi protested and I couldn't help myself to intrude I snatch Seulgi's phone.

"Seungwan, where are you?" I asked, but she suddenly cut the line."Great!" Now it was my time to be furious, "Is that how your fucking cousin act when she's not in good terms with her girlfriend?" I slump in the bed throwing her phone and she was fast to catch it.

"Actually no, first things first you are her first girlfriend, and getting drunk wasn't really her thing." She sigh.

I was surprised by Seulgi's first statement but it doesn't change the state of what I am feeling right now, apparently my girlfriend's about to get drunk because she was upset that she thought I didn't know it was her birthday and I didn't let her stay the night here.
