Chapter 37: Encounter

CHAEYOUNG'S POV

I bit my lip as I remember how I spend the morning with Lisa after she prepared a breakfast for the both of us we had shower together. I would say that it was a steamy one. I get my phone to send Lisa a text.

Please don't try to burn the kitchen, I'll be back before sunset.

Fortunately her mom told her to get off from work to focus on our wedding. I was scheduled to meet the gown designer today and I asked mom to accompany me instead of Lisa.

I was about to text her back when the car halt that made me stop in my trance.

"What happened?" I asked my driver, Omar.

"I'm going out Ms.Park, I think we just bumped into someone."he answered as he quickly went out of the car, I panicked and immediately went after him.

I saw a pregnant woman lying on the ground while Omar was trying to wake her up.

"What happened to her?"

"She's still breathing Ms.Park." He responded as he check's the woman's heartbeat. "I think we should bring her to the hospital." He suggested and I sighed.

“Let’s bring her back to my place. I’ll call our family doctor.” I helped Omar lift the girl and thank God she wasn’t that heavy. I just hope that nothing bad happens to and her baby. I suggested bringing her back to my place because I know that dad will be surely mad at me if he finds out about this.

As we hop into the car I made a quick call to mom saying that I would be late because an unexpected visitor came. I look at the women laying on my lap hoping that she’ll wake up soon, and lucky enough Dr. Choi was free to spare some time when I called her.

LISA’S POV

I heard a commotion outside so I decided to turn off the stove and remove my apron.
I came out of our house wearing a short and a top, I walked into the garden to reach the Park’s residence. Apparently Alice the sister of Chaeng who used to live here is in Australia. When I came in the maids were carrying a pregnant lady and I furrowed my brows to see Chaeyoung beside them.

“Babe what happened?” I asked curiously

“Please take her to our house, in the guestroom.” Chaeyoung told one of the maids. “I- I didn’t know babe, we were on our way to fetch mom and the lady passed out. I didn’t know wat to do, dad can’t know about this so we called for Dr. Choi. Lis she have to be safe, she’s pregnant and I would blame myself if—“ I squeeze her hand noticing that she was trembling

“Hush babe, she’ll be safe okay? You don’t have to blame yourself because she’ll be okay.” I pull her closer to me as she leans her head on my shoulder.

When Dr. Choi arrived we guided her to our house and to the guest room. I stood by Chaeyoung’s side to comfort her because she was still trembling and worried about the woman. While Dr. Choi was checking the woman’s vital sign, I turn to see the woman’s face. I narrowed my eyes because she seems familiar to me. I can’t pinpoint where and when but I think I have seen her before.
