-x- Third Person POV -x-

Two weeks. It had been a full two weeks since Izuku Midoriya had been brought to Recovery Girl's office.

Uraraka, Iida, Bakugo, and Todoroki were excused from class for a time. Though, even when they did inevitably return, they wouldn't mention anything.

Instead, they sat silently and somewhat sullenly, holding a silent, determined bond. Even the teachers didn't comment on their silence.

The students, Nezu decided, wouldn't be informed about Izuku's recovery until they were sure he was awake or, God forbid, the worst was to come. Though, it only led to a stronger fear.

Izuku Midoriya, in the eyes of the public, was a traitor. And, to make it worse, he had joined up with the League of Villains who, eerily enough, had been silent since 'Izuku' had attacked the city.

All Might hung over the side of Izuku's bed, holding his head in his hands. "It's all my fault," he muttered to himself. "I was supposed to protect you. And I couldn't do anything."

He hadn't donned his signature smile since 'Izuku' had attacked Height's Alliance. He forced himself to offer fake ones to fans and his students, but behind closed doors he felt like rolling up into a ball and hiding from the world.

Suddenly, though, All Might's ears perked up as he heard the ruffling of sheets. His breath hitched, eyes drifting upwards as he watched Izuku roll slightly, clutching his pillow in his hand.

All Might gasped, standing suddenly. He felt as if he might collapse from forcing himself upwards so swiftly, but he ignored his temporary dizziness, instead moving closer to the bed.

"Midoriya, my boy?" he spoke softly.

He watched as the freckled boy's expression grew softer, his body relaxing. His chest rose and fell at an even pace, easing All Might.

He sighed, though, remembering what the 'Midoriya Rescue Group' as they were so dubbed explained what had happened.

They went on about their search, but one thing caught his attention. He was found in an abandoned warehouse that sat on the edge of the active part of the city, with nothing so much as a sign of human life.

What really interested All Might, though, was that the warehouse was, unbeknownst to anyone save for a select few people, All For One's old hideout. That is, before the fall of villains.

All Might rubbed his temples. What exactly are they plotting? The League had been silent for upwards of 3 weeks at that point. It wasn't exactly comforting, to say the least.

A small voice groaned, catching All Might's attention. All Might watched with bated breath as Izuku's eyes fluttered open, blinking slowly.

Izuku's eyes darted around, heart pounding rapidly. He looked as if he were an animal who was looking for any way to escape his confinement, suspicious of everything around him.

"Midoriya, my boy," All Might sat up frantically.

The green haired boy's head snapped towards the previous #1 hero, his eyes wide. Although he relaxed slightly, he certainly wasn't feeling safe. He was still on guard.

"All... Might...," Izuku's breath hitched. He spoke as if he had just learned how. All Might's heart fell. What did they do to you...?
"I'm here," All Might said quickly, eyes frantically scanning the boy. "Are... Are you alright?"

Izuku bit his lip, staring at All Might for a moment before tears began to roll down his cheeks at a rapid rate.

"M-Midoriya!" All Might sputtered.

Izuku sobbed into his hands, body shaking as he gasped for air. "I'm o-out. I-I'm f-finally o-out. I t-thought I w-was go-going to d-die..."

All Might's breath hitched. "Y...You're okay," he said, concerned. "You're... You're safe now."

Izuku's sobs only grew in volume and intensity, causing All Might's heart to ache. Young Midoriya...

All Might simply pulled him into a hug, attempting not to tear up himself. "It'll be okay. It'll all be okay." He took in a deep breath, placing his hand on the back of Izuku's head. "I won't let anyone hurt you ever again."

---

Izuku had to remain in the hospital for quite a while after what had happened. His mother had practically collapsed on top of him, and the two sobbed for what seemed like hours, just glad to be reconnected.

To both Midoriyas' dismay, though, it was determined that it'd be safer for Izuku to return to the dorms, as the news about him hadn't been announced yet, and he'd need to continue being monitored by Recovery Girl, both for physical and psyche evaluations.

After all, the boy still displayed behavior similar to that of a scared animal, recoiling from sharp objects and latching onto those he recognized.

Inko had reluctantly agreed, but made them swear that Izuku would be safe in their hands. Of course, they immediately agreed, and Nezu explained their protocols in detail. Although it didn't entirely erase her doubts, it was enough to get her to leave Izuku in their hands.

Izuku squeezed his eyes shut, gulping nervously as he walked inside Heights Alliance. His classmates were still at school, but he couldn't help but feel anxious that someone - namely Toga - would pop up out of nowhere and ruin everything again.

Or, he worried, that all of it was a dream. He'd wake up and he'd be back in that horrid place while Shigaraki disintegrated his flesh until he went insane.

However, Izuku shook his thoughts away, walking into his room. He slowly lowered himself onto his bed, sighing as he sprawled out on his bed. Izuku bit his lip, turning towards the wall. Please. Just let everything go back to normal.

---

"What exactly was stolen?" Tsukauchi asked, placing down his hat as he walked into the room.

"The evidence from Izuku Midoriya's case. We're not sure why, yet. It was just a few notebooks - we hadn't even gotten the chance to look at them yet," the officer explained. "I'm not sure why the criminals would've wanted such a thing."

Tsukauchi froze, remembering how All Might had mentioned the detail in which Midoriya had documented heroes. This isn't good.

---

"And that," Toga grinned as she watched Izuku through his window, "Is the end of phase two."

"Get over yourself," Dabi rolled his eyes. "We only came to make sure everything was going as planned. So stop your gawking and let's go."

Toga rolled her eyes, pouting. "You're no fun." Dabi simply shrugged, walking off towards the portal. "Hey!" she yelled after him, "Wait up!"

The girl skipped after him, but not before taking a quick glance back at Heights Alliance. A grin spread across her face, cheeks dusted in a pink blush. "Bye, Izu~!"
