Chapter 4

The next day Josh gets up and knocks on the kids doors. Asia wakes up because of the knocking. "Josh stop!", Asia yelled.

Josh walks back in the room. "What these kids don't go to school either?", Josh asked.

"Jakobi is suspended and I gotta take Nicole to get an abortion", she said barely awake until she heard she just said and woke up more. "Oh shit", Asia said.

"Abortion?", Josh asked.

"Josh.. calm down", Asia said.

"I am not going to calm down. My 15 year old daughter is pregnant Asia. Where the fuck were you when this shot happened?", Josh asked.

"If you were here, you'd understand it is hard to raise these kids", Asia said.

"If I was here, shit wouldn't be going on the way it is", Josh said.

"Are you saying I'm an unfit parent?", Asia asked.

Josh sighed. "No, I didn't say that", Josh said.

"Yes you did", Asia said.

"Listen, I didn't say that. I'm just saying things would be different if I was here", Josh said.

Asia gets out the bed and walks in the bathroom and slams the door.

Josh shakes his head and knocks on Nicole's door. "Nicole?", he called.

"Yea??", she called out.

"Can I come in?", he asked.

"Sure", she said.

Josh opened the door and Nicole was still lying in bed.

"Yes?", she asked

"Your mama told me about what's going on in your stomach", He said.

Nicole went silent.

"Are you dating the boy?", Josh asked.

"I don't wanna talk about it", Nicole said.

"Nicole.. listen you're only 15. You shouldn't be doing that", he said. "You're a beautiful young girl, and you should save yourself for somebody who's worth it"

"And you are the last person that should be telling me what to do. You've been M.I.A. for years", Nicole said.

"That's it..", Josh said as he walked out.

Nicole puts the covers over her face.

He walks into the guest bathroom and showers and puts his clothes on leave

Josh gets to G's house.

G and josh dap each other up as Josh walk in the house.

"Man, I don't know what to do with those kids?", Josh said.

"They are a handful for the most part but you just gotta talk to them", G said. "Besides, they're freshman and this these the years when teenagers usually act out"

Josh began to talk as he looked at G's phone sitting on the couch because he saw Asia's name. "Yea but I don't want that to be my kids", Josh said as he turned to G.

"They've gotta better believe me. Especially Nicole, she don't want around with an attitude. Jakobi is just Jakobi", G said.

Josh nods as he sits on the couch that G's phone isn't sitting on.

G sits down on the other couch as he picks up his phone and reads the message. He texts back and puts in the phone down.
