Chapter 41

Once Asia got off of work and she let Jamal know that she was going to be a little late getting to his house because he had to get Nicole and Jakobi food.

Nicole and Jakobi came outside to come get their food as G followed them.

Asia handed the bag to Nicole and the drinks to Jakobi.

"Is it true? Did you can Jamal break up", Jakobi asked.

Asia looks at Nicole.

"I did not tell him that", Nicole said lying.

"So who else did?", Asia asked.

Nicole shrugs her shoulders and walked toward the house.

"No we did not break up", Asia said as G walked up the car. "But I may have to sit down and talk to the two or you about something some time soon"

"Okay", Jakobi said. "Bye", he said as she walked toward the house.

Asia looks at G. "Josh got you babysitting?", she asked.

G chuckles. "Pretty much", he said.

"Well.. thank you for doing it cause I know you probably have other things to do", she said.

"Nah..", he said. "...but how you been?"

"I've been good", he said. "How about you?"

"Good", he said. "...it's good to see you"

"Same to you G", she said.

G nods and walks back toward the house.

Asia watches him and then she suddenly turns the car off and gets out.

"G?", she called.

G stops and looks back at her.

Asia walks to him and G meets her half way.

"You okay?", she asked.

"Yea... why you ask?", he asked.

"....you seem...down", she said.

"Nah. I'm good just tired that's all", he said.

Asia nods. "Okay", she said. Asia put her hand on his shoulders, "make sure you take care of yourself", Asia said.

G nods as his face grew more sad.

"G seriously what's wrong? Just like you know when something is up with me, I know when somethings up with you. We've been around each other too long not to know", she said.

G rubs his hand down his face to calm himself from crying. "My mama.. she's in hospice right now", he said.

Asia was quiet. She wanted to cry because she knew his pain.

"She ain't gone make it. And shit I know people don't live forever but I just ain't ready to bury my mom right now.. not yet", G said as he cried a little. "And I know you're probably looking at me dumb because you had to bury your mom at a younger age"
