Chapter 13

Later that day Asia and Josh meet at a restaurant.

"Why we just couldn't meet at the house?", Josh asked.

The waiter comes over. "Hey I'm Caroline, I'll be your waitress. What will you like to drink?", she asked.

"I'll get a lemonade", Asia said.

"Sweet tea", said Josh.

The waitress nods and walks away.

"Because I don't need the kids in this and why did you tell me something happened between you and G", Asia asked.

"Cause I don't", Josh said. "And have the kids in what business"

Asia puts the paper from out of her bag onto the table.

Josh looks at him. "What the fuck is this?", he asked.

"Read it", she said.

Josh looks down At the first sheet and then throws the pages on the floor. "Man get that shit outta face", he said.

"Josh?", Asia said.

"We ain't getting a divorce", Josh said.

"Yes we are, Josh", She said.

"No we ain't", he said as he stood up.

"Josh we don't live under the same roof. Did you really think I wanted you back?", Asia asked. "Since you've been here you've been down playing me. I've let it slide before but I'm not anymore. If I'm going to be with somebody, I need them to encourage me. Not bring me down. See the good stuff in me, not just the bad"

"So you want me to be G?", Josh asked.

"What?", Asia asked.

"I mean that's what he's been doing for you since I've been gone", Josh said.

"Josh this is about me and you", Asia said. "I don't want G"

Josh rolls his eyes.

"Josh we're getting a divorce wether you like it or not", Asia said.

Josh walks out.

The waitress comes with the drinks.

Asia pick the papers up and gets up. "I'm sorry. We aren't going to be eating here", Asia said before she left.

Asia decided to go to Jayla's house after meeting with Josh.

"So how are you?", Asia asked.

"I mean like.. I'm good, ya know.", Jayla said as she shrugged her shoulders. "Still hurts a little but I'm good. How's Nicole doing?"

"Better", Asia said.

Jayla nods. "How about you?", Jayla asked.

"I don't know..", Asia said. "I never told you this but a few years ago.. I started catching these feelings for G... and I been holding them back because your know that's Josh's friend.. or at least was.. and then now Josh is back and at times I love his presence but I love G's presence too"

"I swear your life has been so complicated", Jayla says.

Asia chuckles. "I don't know what it is about the people Josh is close to"

"You right about that", Jayla said.

".. hey do you wanna come to my house? Stay the night?", Asia asked.

"Why? You think I'm lonely?", Jayla asked. "If you do you're right"

Asia chuckles. "If it makes you feel any better, i have teenagers who stay in their room all day so I'm lonely too", she said.
