Chapter 22

A few week later Asia got her abortion done and surgery done and as the doctors said she will live. A a few days after the surgery she recovered mostly. During those weeks that past Jakobi and Nicole had their birthday party at a skating rink.

Tonight is Jakobi's second game. Asia,Josh and Nicole were there. But Nicole was sitting with her friends.

"He is really good", Asia said.

"Better than he was before", Josh said.

Suddenly, Asia sees Zay walk in. He stops to look at the game and then he looks for Asia in the Bleachers. Asia waves and he comes up the bleachers walking and sits down next to Asia.

"Why do you have on glasses and hat?", Asia asked.

"So people don't see notice me", Zay said.

"Wassup bruh", Josh said with his hand out.

"Wassup", Zay said as he dapped Josh up.

"Thanks for taking the time out to train Kobi. I appreciate that man", Josh said.

"No problem", Zay said. "He family" . Zay looked out at the game.

Asia looks at Josh and Josh looks at her.

"What?", he whispers.

Asia makes a face a folds her arm.

Josh sigh. "...and Zay I'm sorry about fucking with you when me and Asia first got together. I was just jealous and young... ain't no bad blood", Josh said.

Zay nods. "It's iight Josh", Zay said as he looked back at the game.

Asia looks at Josh. "Was that, that bad?", she whispers.

Josh ignores her and looks at the game.

Asia shakes her head and watches the game too.

During the second quarter, Josh was looks down at Nicole and sees a boy talking to her.

"You know that boy?", Josh asked Asia.

Asia looks at the boy. "He looks familiar", Asia said.

"Jakobi must know him. I think he was at the party", Josh said. "But question is what he doing talking to my baby girl?"

"Josh enjoy your sons game. Nicole is fine", Asia said. "I just don't understand why she still friends with Makayla"

"Nicole is fine until some shit happens where she gets raped again? Nah.. not on my watch", Josh said.

"Joshua don't embarrass her in front of the school", Asia said.

Josh was silent.

"Raped?", Zay asked.

Asia looks at him and nods.

Zay was silent.

"Hey Nic", the boy said.

"I hope you know my dad is up there and he don't play", Nicole said looking forward.

"And I don't play either. Especially about you", the boy said.

"Tre, now isn't the time", Nicole said.

"What he gone do? Shoot me", Tre asked being jokingly.

Nicole just looked at him with a "yes nigga", face.

"Oh.. deadass?", Tre asked.

"Do you know who my daddy is?"  Nicole asked.

"No", Tre said.
