Chapter 12

Josh and G pulled up to the corner store.

"Follow my lead. Just stay in the car. You'll know when to get out", Josh said as he got out the car.

"Don't do nothing crazy Josh", G said. "Just getting some names"

"Yea.. that's not my cup of tea", Josh replies as he shuts the door and walks up to the group of guys.

They all get silent and look at him.

"What's wrong? Y'all act like y'all seen a ghost", Josh said.

They didn't say nothing.

Josh said a guy reach for their phone so Josh grabbed his arm.

The guy looked at him.

"You know a trey?", Josh asked.

"You looking at him", Trey said trying to be tough as he he tried to jerk his arm away.

"Do you know who I am?", Josh asked.

"Deezy", Trey said.

"Do you know what I'm capable of?", Josh asked.

"Everybody does", Trey said.

"Okay.. do you know that I have a daughter? Of course you do because you know her", Josh said.

One of the boys start stepping back slowly then runs

G gets out the car and stops him. "Where you think you going?", G asked as he grabbed him.

"Man I don't know what you're talking about", Trey said.

"Boy lie to me again and I assure you shit will get messy", Josh said.

"Yes.. yes I know Nicole but I didn't do anything to her", Trey said. "I didn't do nothing"

"I didn't asked you if you did so now I know that you did. Usually I'll shot you, took you some where and torture you or even break your neck.. but instead I'm let the law handle you.", Josh said. "Getting too old for this shit... but try it again..Any of y'all little muthafuckas.. and your parents won't even notice who you are when they find your body"

The boy was silent.

"And you tell them everybody who was involved or bad things will happen", Josh said. "And that's a promise, not a threat"

Trey nods.

Suddenly, Trey get a bullet in his head and josh let's go of him.

Josh's eyes got wide as he looked around.

"Josh what the fuck?", G asked.

"I didn't do it", Josh said.

He just saw people running as he looked at them he saw a familiar hoodie.

"What the.. ", Josh didn't finish his sentence

"Kobi?", G asked.

"We gotta go", Josh said.

"I'll call 911", G said.

Josh rushes into the house.

"I've been calling you!", Asia said.

"I don't have my phone. Where's Jakobi?", Josh asked.

"I went to talk to Nicole and he sneaked out!", Asia said.

"Oh shit, it was him", Josh said.

"What?", Asia questioned.

"I'm gonna go to the car", G said as he walked out the house.
