Chapter 20

The next day Asia walked out the house to go to work  and she got a phone call from G. She didn't answer it. She put it in her purse and got in the car.

"Jayla how are things coming along with the hoodies? I need to send them out with the new line of products", Asia said.

"I'm workin in that now Asia", Jayla said.

"Well I need a date. People are waiting Jayla. I don't have the time for you to be moving slow", Asia stressed.

"Asia they'll be in tomorrow", Jayla said.

Asia nodded and walked away to do something else.

Jayla followed her. "What is up with you?", she asked.

"Nothing", Asia replied as she picked up her iPad to look at orders.

"Something is wrong cause you almost got back handed slap back there", Jayla said.

Asia rolled her eyes.

"Asia , don't do that", Jayla said.

"I'm sorry J", Asia said. "I'm just so app over the place"

"...something happened with you and G?", Jayla asked.

"We broke up", Asia said. "But I'm not even worried about him", she said as she started walking.

Jayla started to follow her. "What happened? Cause at this point your back to being kind of a bitch", Jayla said.

"A bitch?", Asia asked as she stopped.

"Yes.. when Josh died, left whatever you always had an attitude. You got better but now you're acting like it again", Jayla said.

Asia was silent.

"Now what did he do?", Jayla asked.

"Nothing. It's what I did", Asia said.

"So he isn't talking to you anymore?", Jayla asked.

"He's been calling me but I haven't been answering", Asia said.

"I don't know about you but if I was in the wrong and the person is calling me.. I'd be glad", Jayla said.

Asia shrugs. "He was so quick to break up with me though. I'm not about to be with a person who's so quick to break up with me over petty shit. Like damn, he knows how josh acts!", she said. "Lucky he seemed okay with it"

"Speaking of Josh what is he up to?", Jayla asked. "Because he is driving a really nice Car"

Asia shrugs her shoulders. "Him and Jakobi been out doing stuff, I don't really ask that much. I just know it's something about some business Josh is starting", she said.

"Oh", Jayla said.

"But I'm just gonna get this stuff handled", Asia said as she walked away.

Jayla shook her head.

The next morning Asia wakes up feeling nauseous.

"Bruh, not again", Asia said as she rolled over on her stomach.

Nicole walks into Asia's room. "Mom, I need a ride to school. I missed the bus", she said.

Asia sighed. "How you miss the bus Nicole?", Asia asked.

"I woke up late and Kobi left me", she said.

"You gone have to wait", Asia said.

"You okay?", Nicole asked.
