Note: I don't own Haikyuu and stuff. I realize that's Akaashi in the pic, but there's no pictures of these two interacting whereas there is an abundance of Akaashi and Bokuto and Akaashi isn't far too far off like some others are from Fukunaga so I'll be using that a lot for pics.
Eventually, they finish eating (Fukunaga doesn't eat much, but Bokuto goes to town) and the tall boy takes their plates to the kitchen. Bokuto's happy no one is hurt or mad at him for his reckless behavior. In his mind that translates into dessert time. He figures it's the perfect way to make it up to the other. When returning, he does not jump the couch in his excitement despite the smug grin he wears.
Instead he carries two bowls of chocolate brownie ice cream, one with a little more than the other as he reaches over to grab the pale arm after setting the lesser bowl on the coffee table. He pulls the unsuspecting cat closer simply because he wants to and hands the fuller bowl over, watching his whole expression light up as he realizes what it is. He grabs his own bowl and the two spoons off the table, relaxing back and passing off one of them to the excitable feline.
As the first bite hits his mouth, the slender man groans and melts into the wide-eyed owl's side. Smiles gracing their faces at how normal (natural) it feels with each other, how easy it is to be like this without questioning it. They work through their treats laughing at the television, enthusiastically pointing things out.
Bokuto gives up his remaining brownie pieces halfway through, which is unheard of, dropping them into the kitten's bowl each time he finds one after noticing the quiet barely audible hum that accompanies every bite of the little dark chocolate confections like a purr. He really likes those, huh? Well, one thing to do then.
Kotaro digs through to make sure he gets each and every piece for the cat; it earns him a warm smile as the lithe male curls completely into his side.
Unexpectedly this generous act causes Bokuto to get something he adores in return... Cuddles. Their empty bowls end up on the demon table and they're lost to reality. They aren't sure how it happens (actually they are, Bokuto maneuvers into laying across the couch then makes the cat who adjusts to get comfy and it kind of just escalates into this position from there), but they're not complaining nor is either one willing to move. It's warm, comfortable and so damn relaxing for once.
Neither one has ever felt like this before despite it being such a small thing. Who knew laying like this with somebody else could be so... comforting? Nice? It feels amazing, they don't want to move and there isn't anyone around to poke fun or make them either. It scratches that tormenting itch of needing contact perfectly.
It may have been a somewhat intimate position for friends to be in and possibly strange for two guys, but neither can be bothered with that. Fukunaga can't get enough of the safe feeling the owl gives him while Bokuto wants this delicate weight pressing into him to stay put and keep the cat to himself as long as he can.
It's peaceful in their own little world.
Bokuto is sprawled on his back on the couch against the armrest with his head on it and one leg hanging off the side. Fukunaga's laying across the tanned man's chest with a bent leg hooked over the bigger one still on the couch as he's more on the inside, watching Achmed threatening to kill the audience if he doesn't get silence.
There's a thick arm around his back and waist, its hand on his side with the thumb steadily running slow yet firm arcs back and forth like earlier that day at the grocery store. It's super calming, addicting even, and Fukunaga decides he needs to do something or he's definitely going to fall asleep any freaking second. He's amazed he hasn't already honestly. So, his brain wanders back to the hair.
