Saturday is spent the same way Friday night mostly went. Cuddling and talking in their own world, adjusting to touches and feelings and the new but natural state their relationship has taken before either had realized it turned into this more unusually intimate kind of normal. Now, they both notice... extensively. The only problems with it are that neither seem to want to stop in the slightest and since acknowledging it, they're progressively getting closer at a much faster pace.

In the early afternoon, they take a leisurely walk around the area that Bokuto lives in and through a small local park. After several hours they return and goof off all afternoon in a way that's warm and hints at something neither discuss. Bokuto tries to flirt and push boundaries further still but is clumsy, Fuku's too shy to do much in that respect and obliviously doesn't always understand but they both respond even when no one points it out directly. Shohei tries to show interest but it's so subtle he doubts it gets across, fear of rejection strong enough to make him too discreet.

The random guy on television yammers away as Fukunaga puts his cup on the counter by the coffee pot after rinsing it when he's suddenly spun around.

His breath catches as strong hands latch firmly to his hips, pulling him close to a smirking owl with glittering orbs. Bokuto hums as he rubs their noses together quickly, pale arms settling around his neck a moment later as the raven slowly does it back which has the two-tone slowing down as well. "Go to dinner with me."

The smaller hums questioningly causing the taller to start running his thumbs back and forth as he rephrases it. He pulls back just enough to look straight into midnight, quieting his demand into a request. He'd hidden in the bathroom and called Akaashi (not the first time this week), asking what he could do to show the feline he cares about him. He's had to explain that he likes the cat, whining about it each time. Akaashi asked if he's had such a peaceful week because Bokuto's been distracted with this. The raven owl had gotten a lot done that week without having to deal with his phone or crazy ex-captain's popping in without warning, it was nice.

In the end, Akaashi agreed to help with a heavy sigh and warned him to be careful since Fuku's so shy. Now, Bokuto's trying to follow the advice that he's been given and do something nice for the cat that will show he thinks of them as more than friends, Akaashi had been adamant that he needed to be very clear it's more and suggested maybe a date like dinner would work. "Will you let me take you out to dinner tonight, Kitten? I wanna celebrate your win, you worked hard for it. Please?"

The younger grows slightly warm as he stares at sparkling gold, dark eyes darting to the side shyly as it sinks in what the man is asking for and he wonders how much is as friends or if it's normal for friends to be like this, alone or not. He gasps with eyes falling closed briefly only to look up at the man in confusion, strong thumbs are pressing into his hipbones deliciously and he's fighting not to make any noise that'll give it away. His arms jerk back enough so his hands can curl into the larger owl's soft shirt. "Look at only me. I'm the one asking you on a date, not the wall."

Fukunaga gulps as his heart races, face hot and hands wanting to shake. He tightens his fists to make sure they don't, breathing in sharply. The other repeats the request as the clear romantic invitation he meant it as and the feline timidly yet excitedly nods without breaking eye contact this time, sure it's not meant as friends or platonic on any level now. A smile tilts the corners of his lips up giddily.

Kotaro's asking as a man with interest in him. Shohei wants it, he wants to be seen as more than another one of the guys like always. He wants Kotaro to see him as more, he doesn't care if everyone else sees him as just a friend if this one doesn't.
