Day's eyes opened wide. Neither did her heart skip any beat nor did a cry escape her mouth. She just sat upright, with a feeling of uneasiness, shifting her weight uncomfortably every second moment.
This wasn't a new nightmare, she had dreamt about this before, but today she saw a new character in her nightmare, Heymish. All the other times, it was just a blurred face which she could never make out and a voice she never could distinguish, until now. She had seen him and heard him clearly. Too clearly infact.
Day, literally never slept, being an insomniac. But when she did catch some sleep, she had nightmares. It haunted her day and night. Sometimes she could even unexpectedly hear muffled voices conversing, looming shadows, and blood, she could smell blood. She never could make out how and why this happened to her. Thinking that she was hallucinating, she put it off everytime.
Her nightmares, weren't the kind where it involved demonic practices or any kind of supernatural beings. It was always someone attacking her with a shining blade. Her nightmares never changed. The whole concept remained the same. Only this time, she was able to see and hear another character, even though her initial attacker remained disguised. It was almost always repeated, let alone the time when her parents disappeared. Only then did she dream about her family, special moments together, laughs.. and running in a maze, never being found, but then, never actually being lost.
Day gazed at the window, her eyes staring right through the glass panes, but her mind lost in deep thoughts. She realized that maybe getting too close with her one day old friend, Heymish wasn't such a bright idea. Her feelings from the night and the vibes she received had refused to negotiate on Heymish's entry in her already messed up life. She realized that Heymish wasn't good news, even though he wasn't actually the one who attacked her, he still was an accomplice. The feelings it gave her wasn't very nice and sweet. Not for her, no.

Heymish's sharp eyes read along the lines of the text book, taking breaks every now and then to glance at the entrance of the room, waiting upon Day's arrival.
"Goodmorning Day!" called out Joshua, the blonde beau of the school, catching Heymish's attention almost immediately. His eyes captured a very beautiful sight, just like a digital camera.
Day stood there on the doorway, flaunting her long curvy legs with a thigh length white lace dress with a simple red belt. An unusual shaped gold pendent, which looked like a crooked 'V' shape bordered by a circle, rested on her chest, dangling just before her cleavage. Her hair swayed with her dress in curls and her rosy cheeks rose to smile as she greeted everyone she went past. Her pale skin which shined in the sunlight like a thousand stars. Maybe shining lotion, he thought.
She sat uncomfortably down, scanning the room the another free desk. None, unfortunately.
"Good morning," whispered Heymish just behind her ear. His breath brushed against her cheek. Day felt a chill go down her spine. As angelic the whisper sounded, it also remined her of 'I am sorry Day', which she couldn't forget so easily. Day had always allowed her dreams to be a part of her life. Maybe because she didn't dream often, and considered it as an important part.
"Good morning," Day forced a smile back. Her mind kept rewinding the nightmare for her.
She was in a conflict. To believe or not to believe? Did she even have a choice? It's not that Heymish will always be her only friend. Joshua just greeted her so that's something right?
A tall, slender blonde haired girl hovered over Day's desk.
"So you must be Day.." She smiled, knocking off Day's train of thoughts.
"Heya, yep, I am." Day popped the 'p' p sound rather loudly.
"Sorry, I wasn't here yesterday, boyfriend things yenno?" the blondie winks. Day was mesmerized with her long eye lashes. This girl looked too pretty for her own good.
"I am Marie as in the sea of sadness," Marie joked.
Day chuckled at the poor attempt of a joke.
"So do you mind hanging around during break, I do wish our classes don't clash."
"Yes yes yes, I like that, I will check my timetable," Day was relieved. See, people like me! I am not THAT bad.
"Cool, see you after this?"
Day smiled and nodded at her while Marie went on to the seat right on the corner of the room. Now she didn't have to worry about being alone with Heymish. The dream was making her paranoid.
"Soooooo Dayyyy," Heymish called out
Day turned and mouthed 'what.'
'We okay?' Heymish mouthed back
Stupid. Stupid dream. He is so cute.
Day reminded herself to breathe. "Yes, we are. We will still hang out but with like an addition?"
Day gave him a wide smile.
