Day's eyes opened as the sunlight penetrated inside her room. It was just minutes ago that she went to bed, after battling with herself for an explanation.
The sun's ray will answer your questions D. Just wait.Day withdrew her dark, heavy curtains and stretched out her right arm in the sunlight. Nothing, nothing happened. With a sigh, and a deep disappointment settling down in her heart, she took a step back, watching the clouds slowly cover the sun like a big, grey blanket. As much as she disliked sunlight, she felt like that rays of the sun really does hold her secrets.
She walked down to her kitchen in soft strides, the mats below her naked feet were as soft as velvet. Her strides stopped as slowly as the sun sets when she saw the occupant of the room, Autumn, already making her favourite juice, it's recipe and ingrediants were a secret. The grape red beverage was a delight to Day's tastebuds.
Pouring out the delightful beverage on two big crystal glasses on the marble table, she slid the glass on her right towards Day.
"The rays of the sun, didn't you say?" Day started in a sarcastic tone. "News flash! Nothing happened!"
"If you remember, I also said 'Just wait'."
Day sniffed and turned her head away from Autumn. "Maybe."
Autumn picked up the glass and held it lightly in her grasp, handing it out to Day. Day took the glass in a hurried stance and gulped it all down in a minute, her stomach, being satisfied from the cool beverage, ending the small rumbles.
"I think you are tensed about something D," Autumn's voice was as equally soft and flowing as the shallow creek, flowing against the huge stones.
"Hm, how did you know?"
"D, it's clearly visible by your face, the tension lines, watery eyes.." She paused, "And of course your behaviour!"
"Yes, I guess. I should probably be getting ready for school."
"D! it's seven in the morning!"
"I'l be walking today."
Autumn heaved a sigh.

"I shall not harm you. I shall not. You are safe with me." The voice crept inside Day's ears, making a chill run down her spine. Her teeth shivered as the cold wind blew across her face. She was accustomed to hearing voices. It was her lifestyle. From when she realized about her surrounding, she has been hearing voices.
She battled against the cold wind as she climbed up the stairs of her classroom. Her classroom was barren, evidently, Day was too early to school.
The voice hissed at her ear again, it made her cover her ears with her palms so tightly, that she couldn't even hear the leaves rustling outside, or the birds chirping melodiously.
She struggled to stop the voice entering her ears and playing with her mind. She threw her hands up in the hair, grabbed her hair tightly in frustration, sang loudly to avoid hearing the voice. But the voice got stronger and deeper.
"I said I shall not harm you! I am here to protect you! Stay away, stay away!" The voice ceased away, and the only loud noise remaining was Day's irregular heartbeats. She went through the strands of her hair and brushed it with her fingers. She shrugged off the happening and inhaled deeply.
"Its okay..it's normal. I am good." She said to assure her own self.
She was reluctant to discuss this matter with Autumn, or with anyone else. Hell, it wasn't normal. But she wasn't normal, right? She had refused to believe that she and her sister really had supernatural powers, afterall power brings man down on the ground. She traversed the room, her feet placed cautiously on the floor.
Snap. Day saw her locket fall on the ground, near the doorway, with the pouring sunlight reflecting on it. The reflection from her locket penetrated into her eyes, not much to her notice at that moment, taking her down the kaleidoscope of memories.
