Day was limited to just blurry motions as she slowly opened her eyes, her eyelids felt heavy and the tears forming seemed to sting back at her. Her throat felt dry and her rashes seemed blue. Though they were fading, it still gave her the burning sensation.
In the sudden moment of time, she felt incredibly strong. The motions around her became as clear as ice sparkling like fire under the sunlight. The voices zoomed inside her ear just like a rocket. Over her head, she saw one of the motions, a figure standing, looking down upon her.
"Heymish?"
"Yes," Heymish sat down on her side and held her hand. Just his touch alleviated her pain. In a second, she sat upright, feeling completely charged up.
Day placed her other hand forward and held Heymish's hand with with both of hers. There was comfort in just holding his hand. Heymish leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. His scent was alluring, and so were the warm lips that had planted a kiss on Day's forehead. His kiss completely annihilated her pain and created a perfect ambience for the duo.
"I am sorry, Day." For a moment, Day was petrified, for while she thought she was dreaming it all. But then she saw the reality. Heymish had just spoken the words in the very same manner as she had heard in her nightmare. And then the voice in the classroom had asked her to stay away. Why hadn't she listened to it? And what was it asking her to stay away from?
Maybe Heymish wasn't bad afterall, maybe she was hallucinating. But then the voice and her nightmares. As agile her thinking was, only a few words could roll out of her tongue, "Where's Autumn?"
"She's in the kitchen making some juice for you, says it's your favourite?"
Day nodded, with her mind occupied with Heymish's words playing on repeat. She stared bankly at Heymish and asked in monotone, "What's that sorry for?"
Heymish's dimple deepend as his corners of mouth turned up into a delicated smile, he shook his head, "That I couldn't protect you."
"But that isn't your fault, you didn't know I have photosentivity. I never mentioned it."
"Is that why you like to reach school before the sun comes up?"
Day nodded again as she shifted her weight uncomfortably.
"Day! I had sensed you have regained conciousness, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Autumn burst into her sister's room with a tray on her hand with a glass on top, containing Day's favorite drink. Heymish showed his gentleman attitude as he stood up and bowed as he gestured for Autumn to sit down. "Well thank you, young lad." Autumn faked her accent in the most English like manner. Autumn was one big Anglophile.
"Autumn.." Day smiled weakly.
"Happy Birthday D!" She clapped her hands like a small child. "I have loads to tell you!"
"Well, I should be going," Heymish licked his lips in the most adorable way, "Happy birthday Day, get well soon." He smiled at Day, and then looked at Autumn.
"D, I'll be right back," Autumn smiled at Day as she got up.
"Bye Day," Day returned a smile to Heymish, with a mind still debating for him.
Autumn led Heymish outside the house and returned with a small wrapped object in her hands. She handed it over to Day, "Heymish brought this for you."
"Couldn't just he give it to me?"
"Ask him about that." She gave Day a poker face and then smiled like a little devil. "I have loads to tell you!"
"Like?"
"Like..that you are of age now! Day, we're of equal now. And we have to be really careful about how we live and which people we choose to be around us."
