Chapter 8: Story Teller
Recap:
"I'm Tootles and that's Curly. Don't mind him he can be cranky at times." Tootles smiled and outstretched his hand for me to shake.
"It's nice to meet you I'm Wendy." I introduced myself and shook his hand. He seemed so much more, well, proper then what I was expecting. "Oh I know who you are. Hey boys come and meet Wendy!" Tootles yelled. Someone jumped down from the hammock and came running towards me. He gave me a big hug then glanced up at me. He must have been at least nine years old.
"Are you Wendy... the story teller?" The boy asked. I nodded at him then looked up. Two other boys were now standing next to Tootles and Curly. "That's Twins this is Slightly and Nibs and you've already met my self and Curly. They call us the Lost Boys."
Curly
"You're pretty." Twins stared at Wendy in awe. I hit him square on the head and said, "Stop drooling like an idiot." I glanced back up at Wendy who happened to be blushing like a little girl. I never understood girls and I didn't really want to. She looked at me then and smiled. She seemed nice but she was a girl.
"What?" I snapped shifting uncomfortably under her stare.
"Nothing... I'm sorry." She mumbled and looked away.
"Whatever." I shrugged it off even while Tootles stared at me with his arms crossed over his chest. I felt a little guilty for snapping at her but I had no choice. She was going to come in here and ruin everything I just knew it.
"I see everyone's gotten a chance to meet Wendy." Peter said from behind me. I groaned and looked at him. He smiled at Wendy and I rolled my eyes. Of course he trusted her right away. What if she was secretly working with the pirates?
"Excuse me." I muttered then pushed past him and to the exit. I hated the fact that we had to share a hide out with a girl. A story teller at that. That means all the attention will be set on her and her girly things. No more hunting and no more sword play.

Scorpios
I paced back and forth through my cabin. Anger pulsed through my veins like never before. "That little twerp takes everything away from me!" I roared. Smee who was standing by the door jumped a little as I continued to rant.
"Why is it that he always wins?! Is there anyone on this ship that even knows how to hold a sword?" I ran my fingers through my hair angrily.
"Well cap'n I believe you can." Smee gulped. I sighed loudly then grabbed a book off the shelf and hurled it to the wall.
Smee ducked as the book struck the wall bursting with pages as it fell to the ground.
"Cap'n?" Smee asked hesitantly.
"What!" I demanded.
"I brought you some soothin' tea f-for that head a-ache ya been complainin' bout. I think it best f-for ya to sit." Smee suggested. For once I listened to him and sat in what once was my father's chair. I wouldn't think about him now, he was no longer in charge of this ship so he has no right to sit here anymore.
I grabbed the cup of tea and took a sip. It was hot to the tongue but tasted good.
"A-all calm now cap'n?" Smee asked. I smiled at him then slammed the tea cup on the desk letting it burst into a million tiny pieces. He jumped back and stared at me.
"We need a plan Smee. You know it; I know it for goodness sake the whole crew knows it!" I said standing up again. "Well... isn't Pan close with the savages?" Smee asked.
"Yes." I nodded and began pacing again.
"M-maybe we could lure Pan in by capturin' a-a savage." Smee said enthusiastically.
I waved my hand at him like it was the stupidest idea I've ever heard.
"Wait I've got it!" I said and stopped pacing to face Smee.
"What if we capture the savage's most prized possession... the princess. We'll use her as bait to capture Pan!" Smee just stared at me confused.
"I-isn't that what I just..." I cut him off.
"Aye Smee I know it's a brilliant idea." I said while walking to the closet.
"Smee tell the crew to ready their weapons we've got a princess to capture."
"Aye, aye cap'n." And then he was off.
Wendy
"Wendy, can we stay here forever?" Liam asked as I tucked him into bed. I nodded my head at him, "Of course."
"Can you tell us a story please?" James asked from behind Liam.
"Oh I don't know." I said playing with a strand of my hair.
"Please can you tell us a story?" I heard someone ask from behind me.
I turned around and was surprised to see all the boys except for Curly and Peter. They all stared at me with hopeful smiles.
"Alright I will just let me go find Peter."
"Yay!" They yelled then jumped up onto the bed. "I'll be back in a few minutes just make yourselves comfortable." I said then stepped out of the room in search for Peter. He wasn't anywhere in the hide out so I decided to check outside.
When I stepped out of the hideout the sound of whistling echoed through my ears. Peter... I walked around the tree.
"Peter is that you?" I asked but I didn't find Peter instead I found Curly sitting on the ground whistling to himself.
"I'm not Peter." He said not looking at me.
"Sorry... have you seen him?" I asked trying to be as nice as possible.
"No. I thought he would be with you." He said looking at me through the corner of his eye.
"Well um... I am going to tell a story before everyone goes to sleep. I was wondering if you..." He cut me off abruptly. "I don't want to hear your pathetic story." He snapped.
I jumped back in surprise. "Just leave me alone!" The harshness in his voice confused me and I didnt know what I did to make him hate me so much.
"Curly I don't know what I did to make you not like me but whatever I did I'm sorry." I said stepping closer to him. He huffed out in frustration. "Curly..."
"Can't you see that no one wants you here?!" He cut me off standing up and facing me. I took a step back my back hitting the tree. The bark scratched at my arms as he continued to yell at me.
"Why did he have to bring you here? You are going to ruin everything! He's changing... he won't even talk to me anymore because he is always with you and I'm his best friend! You're all he talks about whenever he comes back from your world!"
"I-I..." I tried to speak but he cut me off again furiously.
"You what?!" I looked away from him trying to hide the tears that blurred eyes.
"I'm sorry." I muttered knowing it wouldn't help.
"Your so clueless Wendy." He snapped.
I glanced at him through my eyelashes. "What do you mean?"
"Don't you see he doesn't like you in the way you think. He can't love! He isn't capable of loving you. So just leave! It will be best for all of us especially Peter."
His words hit me like a bucket of ice water. Anger and pain washed over me. That was it. I couldn't bear to hear anymore. I shoved him aside and ran through the forest away from the hideout, away from Curly and away from Peter.
Yay I've finally uploaded!!!!!!
Have a good day!
