The outlines quickly become a clear picture. It was still a bit bright, but Lis' eyes quickly got used to it. The outline became a guy. He was really tall and thin. But it looked like he hadn't had much to eat and drink in the past month.
-
Lis knew this man. It was a traveler who came to the village a few months ago and stole some food and the chief's beer.
-
There were cells with prisoners in the walls of the arena. All of them had been given the death penalty by the heads.
The man in front of Lis was caught in chains. He had something in front of his mouth and his body was covered with bruises and scratches. Hegar entered the arena.
"Here. You'll need it."
He gave Lis a knife and left.
-
After a few minutes, a stranger entered the arena. He was masked and his skin tone was darker and he smelled different than anyone from the village. He was around 1.80 meters tall and probably still younger, just like in his teens.
He had 2 swords on his back, knives in every pocket and the exotic weapons with him. Armed from head to toe.
He looked at Lis with those sparkling blue eyes, filled with cold lust for murder.
"Come over here!" The young man said and beckoned Lis to him.
-
Lis walked slowly to the masked man. He looked down at Lis with his icy, blue eyes and Lis looked up in his icy eyes. It was like a howling snowstorm.
-
He crouched down to come with her at eye level. Those emotionless eyes made Lis shiver. He kept coming closer to her head as if to whisper something to her.
"Shoulders up! And hold your gun right!"
Lis was startled when he grabbed her by the arms and placed her in an upright position.
But with a quick movement she was already on the floor again. "You need a firm footing. But you also have to be light-footed!"
-
"Get up! And now dodge!"
His movements were confusing and quick. Lis tried to avoid the blows but it didn't work except for one or two times.
"If you can't dodge you have to fight back! Defend yourself!"
Lis landed on the floor over and over again.
"Get up! Defend yourself!"
His attacks grew faster and faster, harder and coarser.
-
"Defend yourself! Get up! Try again!" His voice became more indistinct and blurred until it was only a vague reverberation.
"Get up! Get up! Defend yourself!"
-
A hard hit in her stomach turned everything around. She had a feeling she never had before and it kinda felt ok.
