Someone wet licked over Lis face. As she opened her eyes she saw how Karma stood on her. But her hands were tied on her back. Without thinking she ripped the rope into pieces.
She giggled a bit.
"Stop Karma, I'm awake now. I I'm here, I'm here."
She hugged her friend.
"Looks like you freed yourself, earlier than I thought. You made big progresses my dear. Keep it up. I wanna see you in 10 minutes at the arena." Hegar appeared out of the dark and walked away. Lis stood up and walked to the cell door. But it was closed. Is she really supposed to try to break this and just walk to him like nothing happened.
Anger formed inside.
~How gullible could someone be... but he probably also thought about that. There would never be a way out~
-
Suddenly a dark shape appeared infront of her cell. It opened the door and chained her hands.
"I'm sorry. I have to."
It was Hallstein. As always with the same look on his face.
"I have to talk with you later. It's important..."
That was all he said.
-
Throught the walk to the arena a mysterious and creepy silence was around them. As the doors opened and Lis saw the light from the arena she freezed for a short time. She wasn't alone. Not at all. 7 or more ppl were also in there, but they all looked dead, almost like zombies. They where tied against masts or chained agains the walls. Suddenly Hegar appeared behind her. He touched her on her back and held a knife to her.
"Kill them and make your father proud."
"Kill them!"
"Fight and kill"
"Stand up and defend yourself"
-
These words felt like lightnings would hit Lis.
They were like an echo and repeated in her head after and after again.
"Kill and make your father proud"
-
The other prisoners got 'set free' and started to attack each other completely ignoring her. The first blood streamed down a prisoners body and splashed on everything near him. His scream was telling all of his pain in one moment and it made Lis stay back another moment.
He sank down on his knees and gasped after air while his opponent kept punching his face bloody with his knee.
-
Lis swallowed hard and her whole body was shaking. She tightened the grip around the knife Hegar gave her and made one step.
-
Lis kept staring at an empty point on the ground, her look was dead and indefinable. Hegars words still were repeated in her head.
A smile crept on her face and she lifted her head, slowly walking into the massacre. She could hear the fast heart beats and the slow ones, the loud ones, even Hegars and Hallsteins one which was the fastest.
-
Blood splashed and dripped on the ground. Lis felt the warm liquid flowing over her face and dipping of the knife.
She throw herself on her victim and started sticking the knife in and pulling it out again, turning it around and making it as painful as possible with a knife. Blood splashed in her face each time she moved the knife till she sat in a pool of blood.
