THE PAST HAS NO ESCAPE

That blank look was still on the ceiling without blinking all night.
Her body still hurt and the wounds were burning even worse than hell.
She could barely move but slowly she started with her fingers till she lifted her arm and it looked like she wanted to grab something invisible.

She breathed heavily like something was pushing her on the ground.
She snapped back and broke free from this invisible pushing down thing. She sat up and gasped in shock.

Two cold, white or light blue shining eyes stared at her and growled silently.
She frozs again but could made it till the corner behind her.
//Do they just want me die? What is this thing?//
It came closer and entered the light.
Lis felt the shock in her whole body, not even the pain could stop it.

A deeb voice started speaking behind her.
"See urself what kind of killer this is. And you brought that monster into my house."

"What have they done to you?" her voice was whiny.
"Oh not more than he deserves, not nore than to you- the difference is just- he cooperated, you didn't yet."
~Yes it was definitely him. It wasn't an illusion or a double to intimidate her. It was the real Karma. And everything was her fault.~

As Karma realized who was in front of him he got scared of himself.
The voice walked away and both were alone again.
Lis wanted to help him but both were chained that they couldn't reach each other.
Karma even had a muzzle ...

She really wanted to do something but it was hopeless. She could kill her self how she saw karma there chained as if he was a multi killed a
or the one who caused that riot some nights ago.
As she closed her eyes to blink she saw a bright white light and kept her eyes closed for a moment.

In the light she saw a silhouette of a person.
As far as she could recognize the person was female and wore dark clothes. Her voice- her voices was almost like her her mother's.
~"Lis! Your life was never supposed to be normal. But you're stronger than this. Strong blood flows through your veins. Your true power is hidden inside. Let go and be free! Chains are just walls between freedom- break the walls."~

The last words echoed in her head as she opened her eyes again.

Her instinct knew what to do but was it even possible?

She knew exactly what to do and she felt the rising g power inside her. It was time to break the chain.
She pulled on the chain and tried to rip it out of the wall.
She saw how the individual chain links bent open and got longer and longer.
"I'm strong! I'm a fighter! And I WON'T GIVE UP!"

She bit on her teeth and said it again.
"I will never give up again! I am strong and I fight!"
And as she finished the chain ripped in two parts.

Her wrists were bleeding but that didn't matter now. She could see a red shine on the ground that came out of her eyes and Karma was obviously scared.

She looked into her blood filled hands but realized that it already started drying.
Her heart was beating loudly and the feeling of success rose inside her and it felt good.

She turned to Karma and hobbled to him. He was still scared and didn't wanted to be touched but Lis didn't cared.
She took off the muzzle and freed him from the other chains. He was weak and had a tough time. He's gotten very big since the last time - almost as big as Lis. She touched his head gently and went closer until he finally fell asleep in her lap. So calm und peaceful that her heart warmened.
And finally she fell asleep too.
