Jen bit her lip,
"Not exactly, I haven't been feeling myself lately at least not since the party...""Just forget that loser, you are too awesome to obsess over him. He is not worth it."
She gave a nod before pushing Sera in the wheelchair towards a door,"Will you be okay from here?"
"Of course."
"Alright, I'm gonna go to the ladies' restroom."
She paused before leaving,
"Sera?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm really going to miss you..."They parted ways, both opening different doors.
Sera was met with a doctor in white, he gave her a toothy grin that reminded her of Rick when they first met."Let's get this over with."
Jennifer sat on the toilet, her eyes staring down at her phone. The words illuminated on the screen echoing in her head,
'Skank'
'Loser'
'Useless'
'Twat''Slut'
She stared at the phone as more and more words popped up everywhere all about her until she couldn't anymore, she opened her bag to place it in there only to see the pregnancy stick.
Her phone lit up again but with an unrecognised number,'Heya party girl! We met last weekend, found your number scribbled on my napkin! Wanna meet up again soon?'
She recalled the napkin, the beautiful girl with bright blonde hair.
She couldn't bare to face her though, she considered it but in the end, she typed sweetly to the stranger.'Thanks for the offer hun but I'm busy at work for most of the week, maybe if I feel more up to it.'
'Is everything okay?'
'Yeah.'She looked herself in the mirror with her eyes lowering to her belly, she didn't know what to do so she decided to wait for Sera.
It was evening when she finally came out, Jen was already waiting.
"How'd it go?"
"Nothing changed."
So tomorrow really was her final day, She started pushing her wheelchair."Sera can I talk to you about something?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, of course."
Jen pushed her out into the courtyard, she gazed as Sera closed her eyes and took a deep breath in, she'd almost forgotten it had been a while since Sera was outside."So what's up?"
"If...someone was pregnant and the father wasn't around and didn't know, would the mother be a bad person for...killing the baby?"
Sera's eyebrows shot up,
"'Killing'?"
"An abortion..."They stayed silent for a few moments before Sera sighed to herself.
"It's a difficult one. If it was unplanned or unwilling then I don't think it would make the mother bad, she'd be judged for sure but it wasn't her choice. But if it was planned then yes it would make the mother bad, because they're not just doing something small. They are taking the life of a being that can't even speak for themselves...but I don't know for sure, It's a divided opinion I believe."
Sera didn't even ask who it was for, why or what made Jen ask. She instead respected her privacy.
