iridescent streaks on wet roads

172 41 74

my sea sodden plum cake with no price tag
but a delivery address scratched heads lost in
black amazons white forests sly cherry planets

in cream mangroves. a crow citizen, pebbles
crowdropped in a pothole or rainstole road
valleys harvesting whatever remains chanting

to seas that seep in, please go back, leave us
alone, water rising pebbles roiling shivering
reflecting everything a caw is too short for,

too monosyllabic. I can see someone replace
your bones with firewood like a magic trick
chaplinesque music playing notes you boink

on electric the softest parts of me the hardest
parts bookspine the more read the harder,
finger recognition growing ancient with each

touch touchstone. I wonder how life memberships
work as a business model. it's not about how high
the balloons can rise but how far eyes can see them,

carrots are good for eyes, so are ants, ants ritualizing
around phallus carrots, salt pillar saltpeter carrots,
sure, carrots are very godlike, they were purple once

reminds me of you so purple so plum mangrove farmer
& also of me how I could be so orange one day ants
gathering & I don't turn pink, I remain carrot, instrumental

in visualizing loosened loose end balloons start world wars.
