Prompt #16 #49 #94 #160- 3rd POV

Everything happened so fast. One minute everything was fine, and the next Y/N was laying on the ground, blood pouring out of the open wound in her stomach. The Doctor didn’t notice at first, but when he did he immediately sprung into action. Shooting across the concrete and over the fence, He leapt over the terrace railing and onto the ground below, running toward the fallen form as fast as he could. He fell to the ground next to her and pulled her onto his lap. He pressed his hand to the wound trying to stop the bleeding.

“I told you to stay away,” he said.

“I couldn’t let you do in there alone, I couldn’t let you get hurt,” the girl replied. Tears were running down his face now.

“I think this is it, I actually think this is it, oh god,” she rambled.

You’re okay. Breathe. Just Breath-” he started. She smiled lightly, drifting off “Open your eyes. Come back. It’s okay. It’s over now. You’re okay,” her hands rested on his face, her breathing becoming erratic.

“You’re safe, that’s all that matters,” she wiped away the tears as best she could, smearing blood on his cheeks in the process.

What makes you think my life is worth more than yours?” he whispered.

What makes you think my life is worth anything at all?” she replied.

“Never say that. Never ever say that,” he begged.

“You know I love you right? I always have and I always will,” your eyes closed. The last of the air in her body catching in her throat before finally leaving, her head falling limp. He shook her.

Wake up. Please wake up. Don’t do this to me. Don’t do this to me. I love you. So much. Come back,” He put his arms around her body rocking back and forth. He pushed the hair out of her face and kissed her forehead gently “I’m so sorry,” he whispered “I’m so so sorry.” He sat there for what seemed like hours, before coming to the conclusion he couldn’t leave her there, he wouldn’t. He picked up the girl before carrying her to the TARDIS. He set her down before walking to the console, pressing buttons and flipping switches. Minutes later he was carrying her back out of the TARDIS. He remembered the last time he was here. Y/N really liked cherry blossom trees. She had asked to go see them, but the Doctor promised her something better. A planet where it was always spring. The place was littered with flowered trees of all sorts of colors. She had loved the place, but she found the name of the planet difficult to say so she decided she was going to rename it. Wonderland, she called it. Of course the Doctor tried to argue with her. Tried to get her to come up with something a little more original but she was stuck on it. So he let it be.

It took him about an hour to make a bed of flowers that he thought was good enough for her. He set her in it, using a bit of water to clean the blood off her face. He sat down, not sure whether to say something or to just leave. When he finally decided he picked up a flower stranded off to the side and put it on the bed.

“This was the place that I realized I was in love with you. The way you talked about the flowers. I think it’s beautiful, the way you sparkle when you talk about the things you love,” he kissed your forehead again before walking to the TARDIS, looking back once, before leaving. He told himself he wouldn’t go back there, but of course he did. Sometimes, he would just find himself there, though he never went back to where he left you, but he couldn’t help but find himself walking through the trees. Talking as if you were there.

He found himself there again. One last time. This time he knew he’d never be back. He spoke aloud “There was something you always asked about, and I always changed the subject I know, and I was going to tell you but you went and - and-” he stopped “You know what I mean,” he began to walk back to the TARDIS turning back once to whisper something. The answer to the question you had always wanted to know.

His name.
