Prompt #78 - Your POV
You don’t know how you ended up here. One minute you were in the TARDIS with the Doctor and your boyfriend Rory and the next you and Rory were in Central Park. It didn’t take long for you to realize, this was not your world.
“Explain this to me again,” you said to Rory “One more time,”
“It’s been theorized that there are an infinite number of different universes, all with things different. Changes can range from Hitler never killing himself to maybe that guy up there gets extra whip cream here but not in a separate one,” Rory explained.
“Alrighty, so main differences,” you pointed to him.
“Twin towers weren’t hit, that’s really all I know,” he responded pointing back to you.
“Well,” you started, looking down at your phone “we’re famous,”
“Really?”
“You’re an actor and um,” you paused and he nodded at you to continue, “I’m the biggest unsolved murder case of the 21st century,” you held your phone out to him.
“O-oh,” he whispered.
“Yeah.” you muttered.
*skippity wippity*
“I may have found a spell to get us back,” you said.
“Uh, alright, okay, how does it work?” he asked.
“I’m going to need a chicken blood, salt, five candles, and a bottle of vodka,” you answered as he began writing a list.
“Vodka? For the spell?”
“No, that’s for making me feel better about ripping a hole in the universe,” you smiled sweetly.
“Oh, uh, alright, I’ll go get those,” he nodded.
“Actually, maybe I should,” you stopped him. He looked at you confused.
“Someone is more likely to freak out if they see you, than me,” you explained “seeing as you’re a famous actor.”
“Yes, but if someone happens to recognize you, they’ll freak out worse, you’re dead,” he shot back.
“Okay, yeah, good point,” you finally agreed.
*Skippity wippity*
Rory walked back into your hotel room, hair messy, and out of breath.
“Did you run?” you questioned.
“Fangirls,” he replied, catching his breath “took a picture with a couple of them but they just kept coming, so yes, I ran” you turned your head to try to hide your laughing but failed miserably.
“Thank you,” you said, taking the bag from him and setting up the candles in a circle on the tile floor of the bathroom. You then began setting everything else up, Rory sitting on the counter watching. 30 minutes later, everything was ready and the two of you had finished a little under half the bottle of vodka.
“This is exciting,” you clapped your hands.
“This is terrifying,” he clapped his hands also.
“You ready to start?” you asked.
“Not really,” he laughed nervously. You stepped into the circle and started speaking. That’s when the loud noise started. Your head shot up. You swore it was the TARDIS, but it wasn’t appearing. You continued saying the words off the sheet of paper, even as a bright light filled the room. Your head got light, and you were sure you were visibly swaying, cause soon Rory had entered the circle and was steadying you. He wrapped his arms around you and hid his face in your back.
You said the last four words and the light completely engulfed the the two of you.
Rory’s POV
“Where have you two been?” The Doctor cried.
“Um, different universe,” I replied. My arms were still wrapped around Y/N “Hey, sweetheart,” I tried to turn her around but she fell, giving me barely any time to catch her.
“Oh. For heaven's sake,” the Doctor lurched forward.
“She’s passed out, she must be exhausted,” I lowered to the ground, still holding onto her.
“What did you guys do? How did you get back?” he asked.
“Y/N said we were, uh, ripping a whole in the universe?” I answered “oh. Oh no. How do we close it?”
“It would have closed when you went through,” he assured me “Wow,” he smiled “I’d have never thought she was strong enough to do that,”
“She’s strong enough to do a lot of things Doctor,” I replied kissing her forehead. I stood up, picking her up with me “I’m going to go put her in bed,”
“Yes, that’s probably a good idea, who knows how long she’ll sleep,” he replied nodding. I walked away barely hearing what he said next “Y/N L/N, the girl who ripped a whole in the universe,” he laughed “Amazing.”
