Making friends was something you did every once in a while, traveling with them was not something you did often, and falling in love with them, well that never happened.
The Doctor had saved you, in 2038, during an unscheduled cyber attack (as most of them are), and when offered, you jumped at the chance to see the stars. Your family was gone, taken in the war against the cybermen. Amy and Rory had been travelling with him for a while prior and they were the first friends you had made in years. Your parents had died two years ago, and since then you had shoved yourself into your work. Now, you had other things to put your mind to.
Rory was a bumbling mess the first few months after you had joined the group. Amy, however, was very outgoing, and rather flirty with you. Not that you had noticed, you were oblivious to stuff like that. It took over four months for you to realize what was going on, and even then, Amy had to blatantly tell you that she had been flirting with you, and that what Rory had been trying to do, was flirting. You had assumed he had some sort of social anxiety. It took another two months for them to get it through your head that they had been flirting with you for a reason, and not just for fun, and another month to get you comfortable enough to date the two of them.
It had been years since you had been in any sort of platonic relationship, you'd never been in a romantic one and starting off with being with two people, who had been together for a while themselves, was obviously a very new and very strange situation for you. They were very patient with you, when it came to getting into the groove of a relationship. The three of you thought explaining the whole situation to the Doctor would be way more complicated than it actually ended up being. Turns out the Doctor had been in a couple polyamorous relationships in his past, and was wildly comfortable with what was going on.
"I've always wanted to see Amsterdam, but it was destroyed about a year into the war," you said, looking at pictures of the city in a book you found in The Doctors massive library.
"Why don't we just ask the Doctor to take us? We could make it a date!" Rory suggested. You peered over the book at him "o-or not?"
"I think that's a great idea!" you cheered, looking over to Amy in hopes of gaining her opinion.
"I think we should, I'm sure the Doctor can distract himself in Amsterdam for a couple of hours," she agreed. The Doctor was more than happy to hang around Amsterdam while the three of you went on a date. You let Rory choose the restaurant because it was his idea, but Amy suggested afterwards you could take a walk through the park a short distance away.
Rory suggested a restaurant called The White Room, by far the fanciest restaurant you'd ever been or be in and right before you left, the doctor shoved a wad of cash in your hands and told the three of you to "be safe and have fun".The food was tiny and you were sure that you'd all be eating more later on, but it was fun, the conversation was amazing, and for your first ever date, you really couldn't imagine it going any better, and any worse. The three of you ate, and talked about all the adventures you had gone on and wanted to go on. You even opened up a little bit about the war you had lived through, but you shut that down quick as you were afraid it would ruin the evening, and finally when Rory started to get a little antsy, you paid the bill with the money you had gotten from the doctor. That started your walk towards the park that was about 35 minutes away. It was a nice night, the Doctor had picked a night in the middle of July for your and his excursions. But despite this, things can always go slightly wrong, or slightly right?
The moment you stepped into the park the Doctor was running straight towards you.
"We have to leave!!" he shouted.
"What? What's going on?!" Amy responded, barely catching him by the arm as he ran past.
"I've managed to make someone very very powerful, very very angry," he whisper yelled.
"You managed to do that in two hours?" you laughed, not sure how else to react.
"Yeah, Beatrix of the Netherlands does not like me much!" he giggle, jumping in the air "Now. We have to leave, I think the police are after me!" Almost on que a group of men appeared, shouting at the doctor to stop. The four of you ran, as fast as you could, towards the TARDIS.You made it, the doctor in tow, very much not arrested, and very out of breath.
"Now," you started, your hand running down your face, "Please explain what you did to anger the literal queen of the Netherlands?"
"Well, I guess breaking and entering is not a 'cool' thing to do here. I just wanted to see the inside of the royal home, and just so happened to walk into the room she was reading in, and well, you know the rest of that story," he explained.
"Two things, one, breaking and entering is not 'cool', you imitated his hand commas, "anywhere, ever, anytime. And two, that's us probably the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life."
"Funny or not, I ruined your date and I apologize and I will make it up to you in any way I can," he frowned.
"You didn't ruin anything."
"She's right doctor," Rory wrapped his arm around your shoulder "The best time of our lives have been on adventures with you, and I think it was the perfect way to end our date."
"And we still got to see the park, even though we had to run through it," Amy laughed."Tonight was fun," you smiled at your two significant others, "Especially for my first ever date, I couldn't have imagined anything better."
"Ever? You've never been on a date before?" Amy asked.
"No, I've never even had a boyfriend, or girlfriend."
"Have you ever been kissed?" Rory questioned next. You shook your head.
"Do you want to be?" he took a step towards you. You nodded, looking up at him. He leaned down, locking his lips with yours. You suddenly understood why people said their first kiss was breathtaking. You couldn't breath, is was by far the most amazing thing you ever experienced, being kissed by someone you loved. He pulled away, looking for any sign of satisfaction or the opposite.
"That's was amazing," you finally breathed. Amy grabbed you by the wait and pulled you towards her "me next."Tonight was going to be a long night.
*I hope you enjoy!!*
