Prompt #121 - Your POV

I am a time traveler and I've been stuck in the Roman Empire for years. It’s the Ides of March and Julius Caesar has just been assassinated.

You stared at the lifeless body of Caesar on the ground. Blood pooling in the cracks in the tiles, you looked over the scene once more before sighing and walking out of the building.

You were about halfway down the street when a voice stopped you. A rather odd one. It wasn’t a voice you’d hear in ancient Rome, but rather modern day England.

This is so sad, Alexa play Despacito,” it said. You turned, your hair whipping around, your dress flying, giving a quick glance to you F/C converse. You moved around, soon spotting him, a man dressed in a suit and a trench coat. You brushed past him grabbing him by his tie.

You dragged the man into an alley.

“Who the hell are you?” you whisper - yelled.

“Who the hell am I? Who the hell are you?” he responded.

“I asked first,” you looked him up  and down. He grabbed your dress and lifted it up an inch or two.

“You’re wearing converse. You know those won’t be made for another couple thousand years,” he said nodding to your feet. You smirked “In Rome anything goes,” He stuck his hand towards you “I’m the Doctor,” You shook his hand “I’m Y/N,” he let go of your hand “are you human?” he questioned.

“Human? Blimey no. Timelord,” you laughed “from the planet Gallifrey,”

“You can’t be,” he grabbed your hand, lifted up your arm, touched your hair and finally kicked your leg lightly.

“And what are you?”

“I’m a timelord, from the planet Gallifrey,” he said sternly.

“And you’re freaking out about me,” you laughed “you act like you’ve never seen another timelord before,”

“How long have you been in Rome?”

“I was here before Rome, I helped build it. Not the whole anti-christian thing but you know…”

“Hundreds of years…” he said exasperated.

“Yes, I was traveling with my friend, but we got separated. He must be worried,” you nodded a little bit.

“Y/N. There was a war. A war that wiped out the timelords and daleks alike. A war that destroyed gallifrey,”

The Doctors POV

The girls smile faltered “That’s impossible,”

“I’m afraid it’s not,” I whispered. She shoved her hands to my chest and quieted herself.

“Two heart beats… you wouldn’t lie. How long? Has it been I mean.”

“Not very long,” I replied “but things get better.” She looked up at me “So were the only ones left,” I nodded.

“Please don’t leave me here,” the girl looked to the ground and whispered “I don’t want to be here, alone, anymore,”

“You won’t be. You’ll come with me, I’ve been looking for someone to tag along anyways,” I smiled at her, earning a smile back.

“Lets go,” I took her hand and we took off running.
