You didn't sleep well the night Harry and Jackson left. Halfway through the night you got up from Ella's bed and went downstairs. You made yourself some tea and sat down in front of the fireplace. Thoughts kept running through your mind. You just kept trying to figure out why Harry left, what it was that made him just take off.
You two were just talking about having a baby and now all of sudden he's not sure if he wants to even be with you. Of course, he never actually said that was the reason he was leaving, but it was written between the lines.
Quite honestly you weren't sure what you were most upset about. The fact that he just left without even talking to you about it, or that he completely forgot about Ella in the midst of whatever he was going through.
You always knew and understood that Jackson would come first in Harry's life, but Harry chose to be in Ella's life as her father, to let her love him as if she was his daughter. You always just thought that because he considered her his daughter, that he would treat her and put her on the same level as Jackson. But apparently you were wrong.
That both angered you and hurt you. Ella didn't deserve it. Ella already got screwed over by one father, she didn't need it to happen with another.

The next morning you were dreading having to tell Ella. You didn't know how you were going to tell her if she asked why he left without saying goodbye. You called Hunter to come over whenever he could because you weren't sure if you could keep yourself from breaking down.
The two of you were still working on getting back to where you were before the big argument with him and Abby, but it was almost there. Hunter knew about Harry leaving, but only knew enough about it that Harry told Abby.
He bought over some Starbucks and bagels. You weren't really hungry, but you were grateful for the coffee for your lack of sleep.
"Thank you." You whisper taking a sip of the warm liquid.
"How are you doing?" He asks following you into the living room.
"I didn't sleep at all last night.. if that tells you anything." You say.
"So, him leaving just happened out of the fucking blue?" He asks.
"As far as I know. We were doing great. We were happy. I mean we were talking about having a baby together. Not soon or anything, but that within a few years or something." you say. "But then he just goes out with Jackson for a day and comes back saying he's packing a bag and going to visit his family with Jackson."
"Well, him going to see his family isn't out of the ordinary, but the way he went about it definitely is weird. When he called to talk to Abby, I had just assumed that you all were going. I was shocked when you called me." He says.
"How do you think I felt when I found out." You sigh.
"Do you think you two are going to break up?" He asks. "I mean you did say that he mentioned something about making sure he's making the right decisions for his son..."
"I don't know. We have no reason to break up.. at least not that I know of." You sigh. "I just don't know how I'm going to tell Ella..."
"We'll tell her together." He whispers wrapping his arms around you.

Harry and Jackson had finally made it to Anne's house. Jackson had fallen asleep on their drive up, so Harry carried him into the house. After bringing in the luggage, he sat at the kitchen table with his mom, who gave him some food.
