Jay opened his eyes slowly. Before he could gather his bearings, he was jolted sideways, crashing into a wall. He shook his head and steadied himself, trying to figure out where he was and why. The crash, two masked men, blood. All of these things ran through his head, but he couldn't figure out why. Jay knew he was in the back of a a delivery truck of some sort. The sound of traffic led him to think they were on a busy road, maybe a freeway. That's when he heard a nearby groan. "Oh god, what the hell-" a voice muttered. "Erin!" Jay realized. "Erin, you okay?" "What the hell happened?" She mumbled, trying to focus on her surroundings. "I don't know"" he lied. He had an idea of what was going on but he didn't want to tell her. "Are you hurt?" "Uh-I think I'm good. You?" "Yeah I'm good." Jay squirmed, trying to see if he could loosen his bondage. "Can you loosen yours at all? I'm not getting anywhere" Jay asked his partner. "No, mines really tight" Erin sighed. "What the hell's going on? Why are we here? Who's idea was this?" "I don't know." Jay grunted. The truck jolted to a stop. ""Here we go" Erin said quietly. The sound of car doors slamming could be heard followed by the sound of footsteps. The back door of the truck slid upwards, flooding the back of the the truck with light. Jay squinted, trying to get a good look at the guys face. He was quickly blindfolded and gagged. Someone grabbed a hold of him and roughly pulled him out of the truck. After a minute if walking, they came to a stop. A door opened and Jay was forced to walk down a flight of stairs. He was thrown on the ground where he was finally able to remove his blindfold. It didn't take long to adjust to the dim lighting of the room. The room had cement walls and floors, no windows, and it smelled like mold a soil. Beside him, Erin squirmed into a sitting position. It was then when Jay saw the large gash over her eye and the colorful bruises all over her face and back. "God Jay, you look awful" she let out a painful laugh. "You don't look so good yourself" he retorted. "So what's the situation?" Erin asked him. "Well, we're locked in a cement room with no windows in an unknown location. We don't have our guns and we don't know who's idea this was and why. I'd say, not good" he tried make light of the situation, but he and Erin both knew that their situation wasn't good. Not good at all.
