Chapter Eight

Im awaken by the heat of the sun that touches my face. I tried to move but I felt the throbbing pain down in my feminity. And all the happenings last night sinks in into my mind. My face heated up ng maalalang bandang alas-tres na kami ng matapos sa ginagawa namin.

Nakangiti akong lumingon sa aking gilid pero agad itong napalitan ng lungkot ng mapansin kong wala na siya sa aking tabi.

I scanned the place. Pumunta akong banyo nagbabakasakaling naliligo lang siya but no sign of Eric. The floor was still dry.

Dali-dali akong nagbihis para pumuntang front desk pero bago ko pa napihit ang pintuan ay biglang tumunog ang intercom ng kwarto.

"Good morning Ma'am. Mr. Eric Asterio told us to serve your breakfast. Can I know what you want to eat for breakfast?"

"No need for that. I'm leaving tho" I said without emotion.

Walang kaemo-emosyon akong lumabas ng elevator papuntang front desk.

"Good Morning Ma'am. Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay. How can I help you?" maligayang bati ng reciptionist sa 'kin.

"Can I see what time did Mr. Asterio checked out in this hotel?" I started.

"Sorry po Ma'am but we cannot granted your wish. Labag po kasi iyan sa batas namin!" She explained."Our customer's info is very confidential, this is for the safety narin po. I hope you will understand."

"Pero magkasama naman kami sa iisang kwarto. Sapat na ba ang dahilan iyan?" I articulated.

Napabuntong hininga siya ng malalim bago kinuha ang record sheet ng hotel.

"Five o' clock in the morning Ma'am!" She empathized.

"Okay,Thank you!" I answered genuinely.

I looked at my wrist watch. Its already 9 in the morning. I'm definitely late for work. But I guest Eric was already there too.

As I was riding in our mustang car, I texted Bella na mamayang hapon na ako makakapasok.

"Kuya Dante, diretso nalang po tayong Deca Restaurant," saad ko ng kumalam ang aking sikmura. I haven't eaten yet since last night. I remembered I only drunk liquors.

Iidlip pa sana ako ng tumunog ang aking cellphone.

"Anong nangyari sayo?" She asked on the other line.

"Nothing!" malamyang sagot ko.

"Ba't absent ka?" Now she sounds worried.

"I'll explain it to you when we see each other!" I voiced out.

I hanged up the call and resumed my sleep. Naalimpungatan ko nalang ang paggising sakin ni Kuya Dante. I keep yawning until I get in to the restaurant. The workers greeted me as I entered.

Mom was like strucking by thousand of thorns when she saw me. Deca Restaurant was ours, kaya hindi na nakakapagtataka kung bakit nandito siya.

"Glad you're safe sweetie!" she hugged me as if I had been gone for a years. "Pinagalala mo kami ng husto, Sweetie!"

"I'm already big Mom, I know what I'm doing!" I kissed her cheeks. "But promise tatawagan na po kita sa susunod!"

I swear.

"Where did you sleep last night?" She asked.

"Condo? It was already dark when the celebration was over. Tsaka nahilo po kasi ako sa inuman namin kagabi delikado na pagnagmaneho pa ako!" I lied.

Good thing she believed on me.

She carasses my hair and kissed on my forehead. "Be careful next time. I cant afford lossing my only princess. Basta wag mo ng uulitin 'yon. Go entertain your friend."
