Chapter Seven

I think this is the right time. Ang mga ipinakita niya at ipinaramdam sa akin ay sapat na upang masabi ko na siya na nga. Siya na ang tamang taong inilaan sa akin ng panginoon.

My face softened. He really never ceases to make me proud. Ramdam ko ang pag-aalala niya sa akin ng malamang papasok ulit ako sa isang relasyon. I know he never wanted me to be hurt again dahil isa iyon sa mga kahinaan niya pero dahil gusto niya akong makitang maging masaya ulit, hahayaan niya na ako.

“You can count on me for that, Brent!” Eric responded. He embraces his warm arms on my waist. “I’ll promise to love your sister, wholeheartedly and genuinely.”

Kay bilis lamang ng panahon, lumipas nang tatlong taon. Sa isang mamahaling villa ang napiling maging venue para ipagdiriwang ang katagumpayan ng NASCAR. Lahat ng empleyado ay imbitado.

I was sitting alone in the couch. I chuckled when no one dared to talk and accompanied me here in this long seat, even Pio and Sler. I saw them earlier going towards my way pero nginitian lang nila ako at umiba ng daan. I don’t think if they were just afraid of Eric or may iba lang talaga silang pakay sa unahan.

Eric was still busy entertaining his people. My friends was also busy giggling on the dance floor. Ihinilig ko ang aking likod at pinanood siya. Agad na nandidilim ang paningin ko ng may makitang umaaligid na babae kay Eric. Naningkit ang mga mata ko ng ipinulupot ng babae ang kanyang kamay sa braso niya
