Chapter Fourteen

"Young Sis someone wanted to talk to you outside!" He articulated.

Napatuwid ako ng upo sa sinabi niya.

"Sino?" Inayos ko muna ang aking sarili bago lumabas.

"Who knows. But I'm sure his one of your hundreds of admirers. He is the type of guy you really idealized, tall, nose-shaped, handsome, well-dressed and a  model--Ouch!"

Binatukan ko siya. Pinagsasabi ng lalakeng ito?

"If that personalities you said doesn't match to the person I will be talking. Better hide younger brother cause you're dead!" I warned.

When I got out of the room, I saw no man sitting. But a woman with a face who is very familiar to me.

Humanda yung Brent nayon sa akin mamaya.

"Hi Dette!" nakangiti siyang kumaway sakin. "Did you still remember me? I'm Weine, your bestfriend ever since elementary!"

Nanumbalik sakin lahat. Naaala ko na siya. Siya yung babaeng unang nakapansin sakin sa sulok ng room. Siya rin yung unang taong nakipagkaibigan sakin. She's the one help me to boost my confidence. She's my first and my number one supporter at Girls High and so am I to her. I really admired her friendly attitude.

Damn I misses her so much. Niyakap ko siya pabalik.

"Ang laki na ng pinagbago mo. Mas lalo kang gumanda ngayon!"

"Bolero ka parin. Ang ganda mo na!" namangha ako sa transformation niya. Dati apat ang mga mata niya ngayon naka contact lens na. Maayos na rin siya kung manamit. Well-groomed huh.. Yumakap ulit ako sa kanya. "I miss you, my bestie!"

She tighten her hug. "I miss you more, my bestie!"

Kumawala ako sa aming yakapan.

"Ang tagal mong nawala. Sabi mo sakin magbabakasyon lang kayo!" malungkot kong saad. "Where did you go on vacation? Your duration is very long!"

"I'm sorry Dette. It is very unexpected because when we just got there, Mom said that we were staying there for good!"

"Ganun ba? Let's not talk about that. The important thing is that we meet again today."

"Uh-huh!" sang-ayon na tugon niya.

"How did you know that I was here in the hospital?"

"Aahm about that. I saw you passing through the ward earlier with a problematic face. I tried to create an eye to eye contact with you but your too occupied the reason why you didn't notice me!"

Napataas ako ng kilay. Am I that affected of what Din Marie said? Well I feel sorry for that.

"I also saw Brent earlier going in this direction. So me is curious, I did follow you!"

I shook my head believing in what she was saying. Everything she says seems to be true. So no need to argue.

"You, what are you doing here?" I ask out of nowhere.

"Eh kasi yung anak ko----"

"May anak ka na?" Hindi ko siya pinatapos bagkus I asked her in shocked. Napalakas yata ang boses ko kasi pinagtitinginan kami ng mga tao. "Really?" I lowered my voice.

She nodded.

"Yung anak ko ang taas kasi ng lagnat kaya dinala namin rito ng asawa ko!"

Tsk. Unbelievable. May asawa't anak na pala siya.

"So is it she or he? Maayos na ba ang lagay niya? Ilang taon na siya ngayon?" Sunod-sunod kong tanong. "Can we go there? Gusto ko siyang makita!"

"He and he's turning 4 years old this Monday!" magiliw niyang sabi. "Invited ka kaya pumunta ka."
