Chapter Five

I made a side-eye, digging for an answer. I remained calm outside pero sa kaloob-looban gusto ng bumigay ng mga buto ko. I shivered in nervousness, I'm just not used to the way he gave attention in me in this matter of time. I can't stand staring at him in person.

He stood hotly a meter away from the elevator. Well, everything he really does is ganoon naman ang dating sa akin.

I was right in my suspicion last night, that there is a big chance that we will meet today. But he seemed to know nothing. Does he not know? Was he not really online at those times? Or maybe, he knew it pero binalewala lang.

Siguro sanay na siya sa mga ganung bagay at hindi na 'yon big deal pagdating sa kanya. I was just the one making it.

"Naku, hindi po Sir!" I shook my head.

"But why does it every time our paths was crossed you suddenly change your way? You suddenly avoided me?" I raised my eyebrows in surprised. Even that he noticed it?

I felt my cheeks heated. I no longer like these. I feel like
everyone agrees with me. I feel like the situation makes me feel that every time we face each other I will be really embarrassed.

"Nagkataon lang po yun, Sir! Tapos ngayon rin po, I'm still in a hurry. May pinapabigay kasi ang head namin doon sa Operation Department." I articulated and showed him the paper. "And taking stairs was the best thing to do so I can get to there quickly!"

I made my voice sounds persuasive. But he's still bothered.

"Why you?" he frown. "If I'm not mistaken you still have things to finished in this day, right?"

I don't know if where did he knew that small information of mine but that's not important as of now.

"Yes po! But it's fine for me naman po, Sir!" saad ko. "Besides this will not take too much time, I can still finish what I am doing within this day!"

He look askance while he is in his deep thinking. Gwapo parin.

I immediately startled when I  heard the sound of a heels approaching closer and closer to where we were standing. Baka ano pa ang masabi sa aming dalawa. Mahirap na ang ma-issue.

My heart tumbled feistivenessly when it's going nearer. I scanned the area, ang linis pa naman ng lugar na ito, wala talaga akong mapagtataguan.

Wait! Why would I hid myself? We never did something bad but..

"S-Sir?" a familiar voice echoed in the muted lobby. It came from the side where the stairs located.

I gritted my teeth and turned my head. I gulped while smiling at Bella. She raised her brows on me. Nakakunot ang noo niya habang palipat-lipat niyang tiningnan kami ni Eric.

The other side of myself felt relieved dahil si Bella lamang ito, besides na kilala niya ako she's also my bestfriend. Sana lamang ay hindi siya magdaldal.

"Give it to me," he spoke lending his hand with authorization.

My eyes widened. Bakit parang ang bilis ng pangyayari?

"No, Sir!" agaran kong tanggi. Bukod kasi sa nakakahiya kaya ko naman talaga itong dalhin doon. "Ako na po!"

"Ako na ang maghahatid doon," mahinahon pero may diin niyang sabi.

I chortled softly. I waved off my hands refusing his offer. I know it is bad in the eyes of others to reject the decision of the CEO but it is really wrong, because I was the one assigned to gave it to the other Department. And he is
the CEO and the president of this company, his duty was to run the entire show of the business, making big decision that will make it bloom and responsible for making decisions that will ultimately increase revenue and make the business profitable and viable. Not a messenger.
