Chapter Sixteen

"Let's Go?" tanong ni Brent sakin. Nandito kami sa loob ng aming sasakyan at nagdadalawang-isip  pa kong lalabas ba o hindi dahil sa dami ng mediang nakaabang sa labas.

Bumuntong hininga ako. "Tara." He open the door for me dahilan kung bakit dinumog kami ng media.

Brent played his role perfectly, todo protekta ito sakin just what Dad told to him.

The company's security guard also protected me. They even
encouraged me until we got to serve as an island near
the company's doorstep at pinausog ako ng kaunti ni Brent para siya na ang sumagot sa mga nagiinit nilang mga tanong.

"Mauna ka na Young Sis sa loob, ako na ang bahala rito!" Utos niyang bulong sakin. "Kuya paki-assist po ng mabuti ang kapatid ko at ang magiging bago niyong CEO sa office niya!"

"Are you sure, Brent?" He nodded.

"Yes, You're right. The new CEO is no other than, my beloved sister. Bernadette Wood!" rinig kong sagot niya pagtalikod ko.

Tatlong personal bodyguard ang nasa kiliran ko ngayon. Sa bungad ng company ay may karatolang nakapaskil na mukha ko. Paglabas namin ng elevator iginiya nila ako sa aking office.

"Good morning Ma'am, My name is Mellisa Pesumal, And I will be your secretary!" She bowed in front of me as introducing herself.

"Good morning!" Maligaya kong bati pabalik. I was satisfied the formation of the office. May nagsisilbing waiting area pa bago makapasok sa office ko.

Sa loob naman ng office kay lamig at kay sarap sa pakiramdam ang ayos nito. Kita ko rin mula sa kinatatayuan ko ngayon ang mga naggagandahang tanawin ng lungsod. Sa pagkakaalam ko this office is located at the 8th floor.

"I just wanted to inform you, Ms. Wood, that this 9 am we will be having a meeting at the conference office. Pupuntahan nalang po kita rito para sabay na tayong pumunta roon!"

"Thank you!" Tuluyan na siyang lumabas ng office ko. Pinagpatuloy ko muna ang pagmamasid sa magiging office ko.

"Ooh, By the way Ms. Wood!" Agad akong napalingon kay Mellisa na nasa amba ng pintuan. Mukhang may nakalimutan siya. "I like your suit. A-and your hairstyle! You're so beautiful!"

"Thank you!" I smiled.

Well I'll take that as a complement. Tiningnan ko ang aking sarili sa glass window ng office. I like my suits too. Mukha naman akong presentable.

I open my social media and  my name was the headline of different newses. My face in front of the building a while ago was all over my newsfeed.

I spent the rest of my time studying my next projects.
Another family has requested that we check their new built house and they choose us to design on it, recently. The house is big enough wherein we really need a lot of things to considered.

Sinabihan ko si Mellisa kanina na magset ng meeting sa lahat ng board member pagkatapos ng meeting ko. May bago kaming klayente ngayon. Perfect timing for my first day.

Someone knocked the door. "Sorry to interupt you, Ms. Wood but its time!"

I get my laptop tsaka lumabas na ng office. I looked at my wrist watch, flat 9 o' clock. Tumungo na kami.

The conference room was only located at the fifth floor of the building so we could easily reach it. It seems like people are just waiting.

"Good morning, Ms. Wood!" Ani ng lalakeng nakaformal attire. "I'm the Vice president of this company, Mr. Crisanto Bryan Santos and its nice to meet you here. Like Mother like daughter nga talaga!"
