Nakatulala lang ako habang nakatingin sa pangyayari sa harapan ko. Enki was still holding his gun. Nakadikit ang dulo sa likod ng ulo ni Fourth. His finger is slowly pulling the trigger. Hindi ako makagalaw kahit na alam kong anumang oras ay pwedeng pumutok ang baril.
I thought that they're going to infiltrate the EL Ordre's hideout today? Iyon ang sinabi nya sa akin after he treated my wounds, right? At iyon din ang sinabi ng Queen sa akin kanina. But what is he doing here?
He checkmated the King. A Queen, a Knight and a Bishop against the enemy's King. There is no escape for him.
But I was surprised when Fourth let out a terrifying smirk on his lips. Kinilabutan ako doon and I saw the Queen was affected as well. Her lips parted as she stared at him with slightly wide eyes. Then I heard the low chuckle from Fourth's throat.
"Says who?" And right after Fourth has said that, muli akong nakarinig ng pagkasa ng baril.
"Put down your gun, motherfucker."
It was Auis. Nakatutok ang baril nya sa likod ng ulo ni Enki. He was smirking like he's enjoying what's happening. Hindi ko tuloy mapigilang isipin na baka sa sobrang kasiyahan nya ay aksidente nyang maiputok ang baril.
But Enki remained unmoving. He didn't even move a muscle kahit nakadikit din sa ulo nya ang dulo ng baril ni Aius. He still looked so serious while pointing his gun at Fourth's head.
"I only take orders from my Queen."
Auis chuckled. "Then die."
"I'll kill your King first before you could kill me."
Shit! Ang tapang ni Enkidu! How can he say those words na parang hindi man lang natatakot na mamatay kahit na may nakadikit nang baril sa ulo nya? And his tone! Hindi man lang nagbago! Parang normal lang sa kanya ang matutukan ng baril!
I was just standing here. Pinapanood ko lang sila. I don't know what I should do! Magpapatayan na ang mga nasa harapan ko. But I don't know which team I should support and which team I should help!
Shit talaga! The life of a traitor.
Enki looked murderous. Hindi sya nagbibiro nang sabihin nyang papatayin nya ang King. Hindi nya itinutok ang baril kay Fourth nang wala lang. He meant to really kill him.
"No!" The Queen squealed when Enki was about to pull the trigger. "Stop! Stop, Enkidu!"
I saw the protest in Enki's eyes. But he still put down his gun. Kahit labag talaga sa loob nya ay gagawin pa rin nya. Basta inutos ng Queen nya. Aius put down his gun too.
"Come here!" The Queen called her Bishop and pointed at the space beside her. "Don't be rude, Enkidu! Come here!"
Naging sunud-sunuran si Enki sa utos ng Queen. He went beside her without saying anything.
"You are in the presence of the King. Bow down!"
Enki looked surprised at the Queen's order. I am too! Pareho kami ni Enki na hindi makapaniwalang napatingin sa Queen.
I know how mad and crazy she is since I met her. Ang mga inuutos nya sa akin noon isn't normal. And her behavior, the way she acts, the way she thinks, are very different.
She's peculiar.
"I said bow down as an apology!" muli nyang utos kay Enki.
For the first time, nakita ko sa mga mata ni Enki na ayaw nyang sundin ang inuutos ng Queen. He doesn't want to do it. I understand him though. Who in their right mind would bow down to an enemy? Kahit sabihin pang he's a royal blood and a King in the game.
