EIGHT

__Scourge was sitting in a high-tech cell in Alicia's castle. The walls, windows, and cell bars had an electrical force-field on both sides. Before Scourge was put in here, he was confident about how he would escape and sneak into Dr. Kintobor's hospital and use the Star Posts to go into the No Zone, but now he wasn't even sure how he would get out of this cell. There was one camera in his cell and another outside it, both watching him. Scourge understood why Miles put him in here. No one trusted him. Back in the day, Scourge wouldn't hesitate to take any of their lives, but now he knew better. He wouldn't hurt any of them unless he had to.
__How the fuck do I get out of here? Scourge examined the cell he was in. The only thing he could touch without being electrocuted was the floor, bed, and toilet. This didn't give him many options. Dammit. If Knuckles was with me, he could dig us out of here. Scourge groaned as he looked out the window. Moebius was now a bright place. There was no bad atmosphere lingering here. What have they been doing? He began to feel hot and took his jacket off. His eyes then landed on the blue stitching on his left sleeve. He sighed as he ran his fingers along the blue thread. I hope he's okay. His ears twitched when he heard loud footsteps come his way. He looked up and saw the blue robot was standing outside the cell.
__"Howdy, Scourge," The robot said bitterly. "This is a nice sight to see after all these years."
__Scourge flattened his ears and snorted as he looked away. "Nice to see you too, Buns."
__The head of the robot came off and went over the head of a rabbit that looked exactly like Bunnie. She wore a frown on her face with her eyes narrowed. "What were you gettin' at this time?" She asked. "Tryin' to take over that world again?"
__"For your information..." Scourge then glared at Buns. "I was living happily with real friends."
__"Ah find that hard to believe," Buns remarked. 
__"Were you not there when Sonic and the others refused to let you take me back?" Scourge sneered. 
__Buns looked around the hall she was in before looking back at Scourge. "Yer not too happy to be back here, are ya?"
__Scourge bared his fangs at her. "Of course not! Ya'll took me away from my best friend, my boyfriend, and my fucking dog!" He continued to scowl at Buns as she spoke.
__"Boyfriend?" She said in disbelief. "What happened with you an' Fiona?"
__Scourge flattened his ears and looked away. He hugged his knees to his chest and sighed. "She died a year ago. A cyborg killed her."
__Buns was silent for half a minute before she responded. "Ah...ah'm sorry about that," She said sympathetically.
__Scourge then snorted in annoyance. "Yeah right. You don't care. I kicked you out of the group and you were forced to be a good guy with Kintobor."
__"Well..." Buns made her robot suit sit down as she flattened her ears. "Technically, ah am grateful ya did. It wuz the doctor who fixed me up."
__Scourge turned his back to Buns as he put his jacket back on. "I'm not accepting any thanks you have."
__"Didn't expect ya to," She muttered. "So...boyfriend, huh? What made you go that direction?"
__"I don't even know anymore," Scourge groaned. "It just happened."
__"Who's yer boyfriend, then?"
__"You wouldn't believe me if I said it."
__"Try me."
__Scourge turned his head to face Buns, but he didn't look at her. "Sonic."
__"What!?" Buns exclaimed. "How did that happen?"
__"I don't know," Scourge sighed. "He was just there for me after Fiona died," He then looked back out the window. "He was there," He whispered.
__"So you weren't doing anythin' bad?"
__"Not at first," Scourge admitted. "But after Fiona died and Sonic took me in, things changed. I've pushed away all of my old desires. I just want a family. A real family." He heard the robot stand up and turned his head to look at Buns.
__"Ah'll admit, ah don't feel right keeping ya here," Buns said blandly. "After people heard we brought you back, there's been a herd of angry people outside the castle."
__Scourge rolled his eyes as he faced his whole body to her. "You trying to make yourself look good in front of me?" He growled. "I don't give a shit about what you do."
__Buns looked down the hall again and looked back at Scourge. "Just listen real quick," She said promptly. "No one's watching you through these cameras. Ah wuz asked to watch you for a bit before ah left with Kintobor so the Suppression Squad could deal with the people outside. After that whole dramatic scene back on Mobius, ah wanted to see for myself you are what those prime zoners think ya are."
__"And then what?" Scourge narrowed one eye as he asked.
__"Ah don't want you here," Buns stated. "No one does. What do you plan on doing if you were to escape?"
__"Why would I tell you that!?" Scourge sneered.
__"Jus' answer me dangit!" Buns retorted. "Ah'm tryin' to help!"
__Scourge was skeptical about this, but something made him speak with the way Buns was looking at him. "I was going to sneak into the doctor's clinic and use the Star Posts to go to the No Zone."
__"The No Zone?"
__Scourge nodded. "I wanted to ask Zonic questions before I go back to Mobius."
__"That's good enough for me," Buns used her robot hand and shot something at the wall. The electrical force-fields then went down, making the cell a bit dark. Buns then took a few steps back and nodded. "Well, go on then. Break through these bars."
__"Why would I break these bars when I can go through that window?" Scourge asked as he pointed at the window behind him.
__"Trust me when ah say you don't wanna risk gettin' caught. Ah know you can kick all our asses and everythin', but you wouldn't be able to get to the clinic and use the Star Posts."
__Scourge wanted to argue, but he thought about what Buns said and agreed. He backed up until he touched the back wall, which made his quills hot, and used his homing attack on the cell bars. All of the bars went flying, nearly hitting Buns. Scourge then started rolling his shoulders back as he looked up at Buns. "Now what?"
__Buns scooted herself in the robot, making room by her right side. "Get in."
__Scourge stood there, bewildered. He then shook his head and backed away. "Hell no!"
__"An' why not!? You need to make sure you're not seen, and the cameras won't pick up anything in this little darkness. We can slip passed everyone easily."
__"You're my ex, Buns!" Scourge reminded. "I don't wanna be near that!"
__"God awmighty! What a big baby," Buns muttered. "Get in here or ah'll leave you to be found by the others."
__Scourge looked around before he growled and crossed his arms. "Argh! Fine!" He reluctantly went over and hopped into the robot suit next to Buns. He tried to keep space between them as much as possible and watched the head of the robot go back in its place, making everything dark. Green light then overtook the darkness and Scourge could see a screen that showed what the suit was looking at. He tried not looking at Buns as she tried to adjust the little space she had. God fucking dammit. Being gay has made touching girls repulsive now.
__"All right, try to stay quiet," Buns told him. She then pushed two levers and the robot began moving forward.
