Neutral Charges {Sequel/ Sonourge}

TWENTY-ONE

__One month finally went by, and Scourge was happy. He had been struggling a bit, but he had Rouge, Shadow, and Tails's support. Amy and Knuckles both wanted to help as well, but Amy was busy with Honey with their fashion designer job and Knuckles was with the Master Emerald as usual. Scourge was more than grateful that they wanted to help at least. It made him feel better about himself.
__Scourge was walking around the city, holding Buck by the blue leash. He didn't know why but Buck had been acting antsy and out of control around people after Super Metal Sonic was taken care of. Now he couldn't trust his own dog to be without a leash in public in case he would hurt someone on accident. Buck didn't like wearing the leash, though. Sometimes he would fight it, so Scourge had to hold most of the leash to keep Buck from pulling him.
__They were on their way to Sonic's final concert for his tour, which was in Mobotropolis. Scourge tried to contain his excitement as passing people would look at him.
__He wasn't expecting to run into anyone he knew, but he flattened his ears when he found himself behind a big blue robot. The robot turned around and revealed Buns's head, which wore a bright smile. Dr. Kintobor, Alicia, and Miles were behind her as well, only they weren't as excited as Buns.
__"Howdy, Scourge," She greeted. "Are you going to meet Sonic, too?"
__"Yeah, actually. I'll be picking him up when he finishes his concert." Scourge started tugging on the leash when Buck started growling at Buns. "Knock it off!" He hissed.
__"Is this Buck?" Buns asked excitedly.
__"Yeah, sorry. After the whole cyborg trying to kill me thing, he hasn't been himself. I have to keep him on a leash now everytime I take him out of the house." Scourge glared down at Buck when he growled again and watched the dog flatten his ears under his stare. He then rolled his eyes. "I'll be glad when Sonic gets him back on training again. Anyway, what are you guys doin' here?"
__"We didn't get a chance to talk to Sonic about the fee last time we were here," Miles said tiredly. "Since we heard his tour ends today, we wanted to meet him here."
__"Understandable I guess," Scourge muttered. "But I imagine he'll be tired after this. He's been away from home a long time and probably wants to rest."
__"Care about that, don't ya?" Alicia asked sarcastically.
__"Don't. I think you guys know already that I've changed." Scourge tried his best not to sound angry.
__"Yeah, you said you and Sonic were together, didn't ya?" Buns asked.
__"What?" Dr. Kintobor looked up at Buns in confusion.
__Scourge shook his head and grinned. "Well, we need to keep going. Feel free to follow if you want." He and Buck started walking and heard footsteps behind them.
__Once they were at the concert, they saw a large crowd in front of the stage. Scourge kept Buck close as he began moving to the front with the moebians still following him. He could hear Sonic's beautiful voice singing along with the notes from his white acoustic guitar. He couldn't stop himself from smiling when they reached the front. The concert had already started and was about to end, but he was there in time to at least hear the final chorus of Sonic's new song.
__"I wanna see your smile. I wanna feel your touch. You make me feel so glad. You make me stand so tall. I, oh I can't wait. Said I can't wait!" There was a pause and he started strumming the strings on the guitar into a retardando as he looked around the crowd. "To embrace you!"
__Scourge could've sworn the whole city was cheering. It didn't bother him, though. He was just happy to see Sonic in person again. The moebians seemed to notice this.
__"Well now! Look who's all red in the cheeks!" Buns teased.
__Scourge flattened his ears and snorted as he looked away. "Shut up!"
__Sonic whistled on the stage before throwing a peace sign in the air, causing everyone to cheer again. He started waving to everyone when his eyes landed on Scourge. They lit up in excitement as Sonic set the guitar down and jumped off the stage. He immediately threw his arms around Scourge and gripped him tightly. He was laughing happily as he started shaking him. "Ah! My bae! I missed you so much!"
__Scourge giggled and hugged Sonic back while still holding the leash. "Missed you, too, love." All the girls were squealing as they rubbed their faces against each other. Scourge had to stop himself from getting too emotional while convincing himself that Sonic was really in his arms. He just wanted to hold Sonic forever. Nothing could top this day.

__They were finally back home. Sonic was so happy to be back. He had immediately ran into his office to make sure everything was in place. Scourge was taking the leash off Buck's collar and watched him start running around in circles happily. The moebians had gone home, but they did get the chance to talk with Sonic about the fee while they were walking back. Scourge didn't really pay attention to what they were talking about, so he didn't really know what they had discussed about it.
__Sonic walked out of his office and was fixing his bandana as he looked at Scourge. "It's great to be home." Sonic then started rubbing Buck's stomach when he rolled over in front of him. "I missed you, too!" He spoke in a babying voice. "You betcha! I did!" He then giggled and stood up as Scourge walked up to him. "Didn't expect you to appear in the crowd instead of backstage."
__"I wanted a better look at your pretty face," Scourge cooed. "Don't tell anyone, but we kinda snuck by the ticket booth. I may have lost that permanent backstage pass you issued for me."
__Sonic chuckled and shook his head. "Some things never change."
__Scourge stuck his tongue out before grabbed Sonic's hands. "Glad to have you back. I've never felt this happy before. I don't think it can get any better."
__Sonic narrowed his eyes and smirked. "Really now? Is that a challenge?"
__Scourge narrowed one eye and crossed his arms. "I guess?"
__"I accept your challenge then!" Sonic grabbed Scourge's right hand with his own and shook it. "I want you to meet me at our special place tomorrow night at seven. I guarantee I can make you even happier than you are right now."
__Scourge showed his fangs as his smile grew bigger. "Oh! What's this about then?"
__But Sonic shook his head. "It's a surprise! You're not getting any hints."
__"Aw phooey!" Scourge fake exclaimed. "You're torturing me right now."
__Sonic wrapped his arms around Scourge and kissed him before looking deeply into his eyes. "That's part of the fun." He then winked and walked into the kitchen to start making dinner.
