__Everyone was at the cemetery. Today was Sunday, so it was time visit Fiona in her grave. Sally and Amy were standing behind Sonic and Tails. They all kept their heads down and stayed quiet. Scourge was sitting in front of the dirt mound where Fiona was buried with Buck resting his head on his lap. Scourge examined the gravestone carefully, reading Fiona Fox, troubled youth, but still loved by many. There was a vase with new flowers next to a photo of him and Fiona.
__He looked down when Buck started whimpering. Buck understood the premise of visiting a grave, so it always made him upset, even if he never met the person in the ground.
__Scourge rubbed Buck's head and watched his eyes look up at him. "You're a big a baby," He muttered.
__Sonic flattened his ears when his phone went off and he quickly grabbed it. "Dammit! I thought I had you on silent!" He muttered promptly. He tapped his phone and held it up to his ear. "Hello?" He then started walking away from the group.
__Scourge stifled an annoyed sigh as he watched Sonic speak into the phone. Are you fucking serious? He groaned and looked back at the picture of him and Fiona. It hurt knowing that even though he was with Sonic and he loved him, he still missed and loved Fiona as well. He felt guilty for it, but he knew it was normal. It's just stupid.
__Sonic was walking back to the group. He got Amy, Tails, and Sally's attention and began muttering something to them. They all nodded and looked down at Scourge.
__Tails was the one to lean forward towards him and grin awkwardly. "We have to get going. It was nice seeing you, though." He and the girls started walking away, leaving Sonic, Scourge, and Buck alone.
__Scourge stood up and looked at Sonic in confusion. "What's going on?"
__Sonic flattened his ears and didn't make eye contact with him. "I got a call from my manager. Apparently he wants me to do a tour around the whole island."
__Scourge felt his ears twitch. "What? Why? You only do performances in Mobotroplis."
__"I know, but he made a compelling argument that people around the island who couldn't come to any of my performances would pay a lot if I went around the island," Sonic explained. "And I may have went over to Moebius and promised Miles that the Freedom Fighters would help pay the fee. This tour would help with that."
__"Will you be going alone?" Scourge flattened his ears as he asked.
__"Well, my manager has to come with me of course," Sonic pointed out. "If you mean to ask if you could come, the answer's no."
__"Why!?" Scourge exclaimed.
__"My manager's a nice guy, but he won't tolerate me bringing my boyfriend and pet with me. Plus, it'd be really uncomfortable for him."
__Scourge groaned and crossed his arms as he looked away. "How long will you be gone?"
__"A month."
__Scourge's eyes went wide as he looked back at Sonic. "When are you leaving?"
__Sonic's head sunk to his shoulders and kept his ears flattened as he looked guiltily at Scourge. "Tomorrow."
__Scourge felt his anxiety rising in his stomach. "You're leaving me for a month long tour tomorrow!?"
__Sonic perked his ears and raised his head. He grabbed Scourge's hands and made a small grin. "You can handle being without me for a short month. You won't be alone anyway. You'll have Buck with you."
__But Scourge didn't feel better. He didn't like being without Sonic for a long time with what's been going on. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he needed Sonic so he wouldn't feel bad around their friends. He couldn't handle it.
__Sonic took notice of Scourge's fright and hugged him. "Come on, where's my tough guy? You don't need me that badly. I'm sure of it," He pulled back and tilted his head. "One month will go by quickly, I promise," He kissed Scourge's cheek and started pulling Scourge as he began walking. "Let's get home already. I need help packing."__Scourge helped Sonic put the last of the bags into the van. Scourge was still upset that Sonic was leaving for a month. He would be alone to deal with his problems now. He tried not to show this emotion as Sonic's manager was standing with them. He was a gray falcon with brown eyes. He looked friendly enough, but Scourge didn't feel comfortable being in the same presence as him. Buck was there, too. He had been sitting patiently, panting as he watched what happened.
__After the falcon went into the van, Sonic looked at Scourge and walked over to him. He made a small grin. "I'll be back before you know it," He reassured him. "If something happens, you have Rouge, right? She's your best friend."
__Scourge put on a fake smile and nodded. "Yeah, you're right." He felt a little relieved. Rouge was the only one that knew about his worries and problems.
__"It'll be all right. I'll text you every day. How does that sound?"
__Scourge then smirked. "I think I'd prefer you video call so I can hear your voice and see your pretty face instead."
__Sonic's eyes sparkled and his smile grew bigger. He giggled as he hugged Scourge tightly, hiding his face in Scourge's neck. "I love you so much! I'll definitely facetime you every day."
__"Is that what that's called?" Scourge asked jokingly. He pushed Sonic back a bit and kissed him. "I love you, too."
__Sonic pulled away and kept smiling as he walked over to the van. Buck suddenly barked and ran over to Sonic. He started whimpering as he sat down and held his head down. "Aw!" Sonic knelt down on one knee and started rubbing his neck. "I'll miss you, too, Buck. Daddy's going to take good care of you while I'm gone, okay?" He giggled when Bucked licked his face. He then looked at Scourge one last time before he went into the van. The van took a minute before it drove off.
__Scourge stood next to Buck and knelt down on both knees when he started whimpering again. "You and me both," He muttered. He then flattened his ears when people walking by looked over in his direction. He felt his anxiety come back. He stood up and motioned Buck to follow as he started walking away. I don't think this will be okay at all. He thought worriedly.
