Neutral Charges {Sequel/ Sonourge}

TWO

__Scourge stood still as he watched Sonic say his goodbye to the crowd. The crowd let out a loud cheer as Sonic walked over to Scourge with his guitar in his hands. He made a big smile as he looked into Scourge's eyes.
__"How'd it go?" Scourge asked, even though he already knew the answer.
__"Awesome!" Sonic responded brightly. "Just like always," He then looked down at Buck and his smile grew bigger. "You brought my baby?" He gave his guitar to Scourge and knelt down to start petting the dog. "Look at you! Look at you! Oh, you're such a good boy!"
__Buck started barking and panting with joy. He began throwing himself on Sonic and licking his face, making him laugh happily.
__"Disgusting," Scourge muttered. "Stop letting that dog lick your face."
__When Buck backed up Sonic looked at Scourge and smirked. "Funny, you don't say stuff like that when we're in bed."
__"I'm not a dog. I'm a hedgehog."
__Sonic stood up and pressed his lips against Scourge's cheek. "Did you get to see Flying today?"
__"Yeah, he seems to be enjoying himself. Now let's go," Scourge readjusted the guitar in his arms and began walking with Sonic and Buck next to him. "You gonna sing to me your new song when we get home?"
__"For free when everyone else had to pay tickets to hear it?" Sonic asked in suspicion, but in a joking matter.
__"Aw come on!"
__Sonic laughed and nodded. "Yeah, I'll sing it."
__Scourge smiled and shook his head. "By the way, Zonic says hi."
__"Ain't that nice," Sonic remarked.
__While walking, Rouge had flown over to Scourge and Sonic and landed in front of them. She looked rather pleased.
__"Hey, Rouge," Sonic greeted. "How are you today?"
__"I'm great," Rouge replied brightly. "You did great today, Sonic. Like always."
__"Thanks!"
__Rouge turned her head to look at Scourge and smiled. "Got any plans today?"
__Scourge crossed his arms and shrugged his shoulders. "Not really. Why?"
__"I thought maybe we could hang out."
__Scourge nodded. "Maybe."
__Sonic suddenly locked his arm with Scourge's and pulled him in. "Actually, there's something I'm doing today, and I need Scourge with me for it."
__Scourge looked at Sonic. "And what's that? I didn't get any warning."
__Sonic then looked at Scourge and smiled. "It's a surprise!"
__Rouge narrowed her eyes and smirked. "Oh! I get it now. Bye!" She then spread her wings and flew away.
__Scourge watched Rouge fly before looking back at Sonic. "What kind of surprise is this?"
__Sonic smiled as he started pulling Scourge. "You'll see."
__Scourge was skeptical on the way back to the house. When they got inside Sonic was scanning the house in disgust while Buck went to lie down on the floor.
__"I need to clean this place," He muttered.
__Scourge patted him on the shoulder. "You really do." He then started walking upstairs and into the bedroom he and Sonic slept in. He went to plug his phone in before he sat on the bed and sighed. He began wondering what this surprise was. He wasn't too excited, but he wanted to know since Sonic seemed hyped for it.
__Sonic then walked into the bedroom and threw a dustpan at Scourge's face. "You're helping me clean up, jerk!"
__Scourge started rubbing his face and groaned as he picked up the dustpan off his lap. "Okay! Okay! Jeez!" He then stood up and followed Sonic back downstairs.

__They finished cleaning up the house and were putting the cleaning supplies back in the closet by the living room. Buck had been sitting on the couch the entire time, enjoying watching them struggle while they cleaned up. When they were done Sonic shut the door and looked at Scourge. "You ready to go?"
__Scourge looked at Sonic with a puzzled expression. "Go where?"
__"To our little special place," Sonic made a huge grin.
__Scourge smiled back and nodded.
__Sonic went over to Buck and started petting him. "You gotta stay here boy," Sonic's smile grew bigger when Buck started whimpering. "We'll be back, Buck. Don't you worry. It won't be long," He then went over to Scourge and grabbed his hand. "Let's go."

__Scourge breathed in the fresh clean air as he examined the area. They were back at the open field filled with flowers. The pond in the middle was still clean and shimmering in the sun. He smiled as he followed Sonic over to the pond. Sonic had motioned Scourge to sit on the boulder and he obeyed. The rock was warm from the sunlight.
__Sonic kept both hands behind his back as he sat down on his knees. "Hey, Scourge."
__Scourge tilted his head. "What?"
__"You know you're my everything, right?"
__"I would hope so," Scourge replied half worriedly.
__Sonic laughed as he shook his head. He then looked at Scourge with narrowed eyes. There was love in those green eyes. "We've been together for over a year now. Would you say you're happy with that?"
__Scourge nodded. "Of course! Why wouldn't I be? You're the best thing that's happened to me since Fiona died."
__Sonic's smile grew bigger as he looked down. "You don't mind spending the rest of your life with me?"
__"No I don't," Scourge leaned closer to Sonic. "I wanna spend all my time with you, you dork."
__Sonic giggled before he looked up at Scourge. "Then I think I already have your answer."
__Scourge leaned back and flattened his ears. "My...my answer for what?"
__Sonic was about to bring his hands forward when a loud BOOM sounded from the city. Both Sonic and Scourge stood up and looked into the direction of the city. There was a big puff of smoke rising from one of the tall buildings.
__"What the fuck was that!?" Scourge yelled.
__"Shit!" Sonic began running towards the city, using his super-speed to get there faster.
__"Sonic, wait!" Scourge followed after him with his own super-speed until they were at the building with smoke coming out of it.
__Sonic was looking around frantically until some firefighters came over and he ran to them. "What happened!?" He shrieked.
__"There's been an explosion!" One of them responded. "There are still people in the building!"
__Sonic did not hesitate as he ran into the burning building.
__"Sonic!" Scourge ran after him, ignoring the firefighters that yelled at them to stop. Scourge stopped beside Sonic when he looked at him.
__"Help me get the people out!" He pleaded.
__Scourge nodded and they both split up. They ran through the building, finding people that were still alive and bringing them out safely.
