"Never felt like this before
Are we friends or are we more?
As I'm walkin' towards the door
I'm not sure"

Within minutes of sending the email, Amy gets a response back.

God, I hope you have a passport. Send me a photo of it. I'll do the rest.

Harry

Amy thankfully does have a passport. Her parents encouraged her to get one last year but she never ended up using it. She wasn't able to convince Derek to go on a trip. Now she's flying to see a man she's only seen in person once but somehow has never felt closer to anyone before.

Derek has shown up at his parent's house unexpectedly and they ask him what's wrong. He tells them that Amy and him had been trying to get pregnant and now Amy has changed her mind. Derek's parents tell Derek that maybe Amy isn't the right person for him. That maybe Derek needs someone with better maternal instincts. Derek isn't sure. He loves Amy so much. She's beautiful and smart and kind. He doesn't understand why she's not trying harder to get pregnant. He thinks after this weekend she won't want to lose him. She'll do anything to keep him in her life. At least that's what he hopes.

Amy busies herself by packing a bag. She's not exactly sure what to bring so she brings more clothes than necessary.

Her phone pings with a new email notification. She opens it.

Dear Amy,

You're booked on a flight tomorrow morning. This way you have the option of coming to both the LA shows if you want. No pressure though if you only want to come to one. Whatever you're comfortable with. I have booked you your own hotel room too. I've sent all the flight information in a second email. There will be a car waiting to pick you up at the airport so just look for a person with your name on a sign. I'm sorry I can't pick you up, I wish I could.

I can't wait to see you.

Harry

Amy smiles at the words "no pressure." It's exactly what she has been looking for. She needs a break from putting someone else's needs above her own. She wants to relax and enjoy life. Live in the moment a bit more.

Dear Harry,

Looking forward to seeing you too.

Amy

She spends some time packing her stuff and then she goes into her home studio and gets all her paintings ready for transport to the art gallery. She wants to make sure that when she gets back from this trip that she is ready and not scrambling at the last minute. She'll have to pick up her other canvases she ordered from the printers with her photographs on them on Monday.

She thinks about calling Derek but only for a moment. The thought then makes Amy angry again that he hasn't called her. That Derek somehow thinks Amy is in the wrong makes her even more mad.

That night she has another restless sleep, this time because she is worried about her alarm not going off and missing her flight. Thankfully, her alarm does go off and she walks down to the Skytrain to take it to the airport. She's a bit nervous about the check-in process but she manages to do it all successfully. She is surprised when they tell her she is in first class and she has access to the first class lounge if she would like. She takes full advantage and goes in and has a free glass of champagne while waiting to board. It manages to dull her nerves a little.

She boards the plane and is happy she got a window seat so she can look outside. The seats are much larger than she expected. Take-off goes smoothly and she relaxes slightly once they're in the air. She attempts to watch an in-flight movie to distract herself as her anxiety builds the closer they get to Los Angeles. She wonders what she'll say to him once she sees him. What will he say to her? She doesn't even know when she's going to see him. Will she have to wait until the show tomorrow?
Is she going to go to the show tonight?
