Amy thinks she has her life figured out. She has a boyfriend she loves, a job she enjoys and a settled life. A chance encounter changes everything. Amy feels drawn towards Harry in a way that she tries to fight. Harry is fresh off his first solo to...
"I'm jealous of the rain That falls upon your skin It's closer than my hands have been I'm jealous of the rain I'm jealous of the wind That ripples through your clothes It's closer than your shadow Oh, I'm jealous of the wind"
Harry walks back to his hotel in a complete daze. He is still trying to compute what Amy said to him. Once inside his room, he lies down on the bed facing the ceiling, looking for answers. He's pretty sure that Amy just admitted that she could see herself marrying him and having kids with him. This woman, who had such an aversion to marriage and kids, saying she would want that with him is blowing his mind right now. He chuckles, now smiling like an idiot as he runs his hands down his face in amazement. If you had told him a month ago that this would happen he would have never believed it. Amy wasn't even talking to him last month.
Amy's not sure what made her say that to him. She was trying to express to him how much meaning he has in her life. That she sees him as holding a forever spot. The marriage thing was her thinking that if one day they got back together and he asked her to marry him, she knows without any feelings of compromise or regret that she wouldn't hesitate to say yes. That just like home is a person not a place, marriage is a concept that will only make sense for her with one person. And the idea of mini-Harry's running around with chocolate curls and dimpled grins is too sweet not to want.
Harry is eager to spend as much time as possible with Amy trying to earn back a spot in her life. He knows he has work commitments for the next month in New York and Los Angeles. He understands that Amy can't come along because of her school starting but he is feeling hopeful about their future now. After today, he feels optimistic about it for the first time in two months.

The next morning Amy heads to the studio and spends the morning painting. It feels different than what she has painted in the past. She thinks about the images she took of Harry yesterday and tries to capture one of them. She enjoys staring at his face and thinking of him all morning as she paints.
She gets home around eleven and gets ready for going out for a walk with Harry again. Just before twelve, she hears her buzzer and she knows it's him. She lets him up right away. When she opens her door and sees his smiling face, she immediately mirrors it back.
"I wasn't sure if you were going to come today."
"Why?" he asks confused.
"Thought I might have scared you off yesterday. You didn't say much."
"I was processing it all."
"And?"
"I'm happy."
"Happy?" she asks, now her being the confused one.
"Happy you're in my life. Happy you're opening up to me again. I'm just super happy," he says, giving her a big dimpled grin.
"Me too," she smiles back widely at him. "You ready?"
"I'm ready...whenever you are," and looks so deeply at Amy that she doesn't miss the double meaning in his words.
She locks her door and then turns and looks at him and realizes they are dressed identically. Both wearing white t-shirts and blue jeans.
