"Girl, you make me want to feel
The things I've never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?"

The sunlight shining into the room wakes up Amy. Also, the feeling of being squished. She rubs at her eyes trying to adjust them to the brightness in the room. It takes her a minute to figure out where she is. This is the fourth bed Amy has slept in this week, plus the couch at the hotel too. She recognizes the room and then sees tattooed arms draped around her, holding her tightly. She smiles at the closeness now, compared to how far away in the bed he started from her. She notices they're in the middle of the bed so at some point they must have both drifted to each other. Like being close to each other is an unconscious decision.

Amy knows she should sneak back into her bedroom so she doesn't have to field any awkward questions from her parents. She slowly untangles herself from him and stands up from the bed, careful not to wake him. She looks back at how peaceful he looks. His skin is tan and his messy brown hair is falling in his face. Amy resists the urge to brush the hair back off his face and forces herself to stop looking at him in order for her to leave. She carefully opens the door and shuts it quietly behind her.

She thankfully makes it back to her bedroom without anyone seeing her. She grabs a change of clothes and heads to the shower. When she comes out her sister is sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee. She pours herself one and sits across from her at the table.

"Soooo?" Sarah says to Amy.

"Soooo?" Amy responds back.

"Last night? The song? Are we going to talk about it?"

"Oh right," Amy says, slightly embarrassed. She had kind of forgotten that everyone else was there when he did that. Felt like it was just for her.

"How are you so chill about this?! The man wrote you a song about falling for you." Sarah says excitedly.

Amy looks around the house towards her parent's bedroom. She knows they'll be up any second and she doesn't want them to hear this conversation.

"Let's go for a walk," Amy suggests. Sarah nods and they both head out the door.

Amy and Sarah walk along the gravel road that they are both so familiar with. Amy waits until they are far enough down the driveway that their voices won't wake anyone.

"I really like him, I just don't know what he wants from all this. Like is this just a fling? Is this something more serious?"

"Have you asked him?"

"Kind of."

"What did he say?"

Amy thinks about what he said to her last night. About not being able to think rationally when he's around her. That it felt good to be near her.

"Amy? Earth to Amy!" Sarah says trying to snap her out of her trance.

"Sorry."

"Wait, did you guys hook up last night?"

"No, that's just it. I went to his room and he was there in his underwear and I thought I looked cute but maybe I didn't and we laid in his bed and we just...went to sleep," Amy rambles nervously.

"What?! You didn't even kiss?"

"We did...just once...it was..." Amy doesn't finish just stares dreamily into the trees around them.

"That good, huh?"

Amy nods at her sister, remembering the kiss from yesterday. It was so soft and sensual. Made her feel more alive than any kiss she's ever had and it lasted only seconds.
