Joe's POV Today was the day, Safire was officially one years old, I was so excited, and I couldn't sleep which was unusual because i was usually still in bed. "Morning joey" I heard Dot say, as I was rushing around getting ready. "Morning" I said in cheery tone. "Wow someone's excited" said Dianne "It's usually me who's rushing around" she added with a chuckle and then she got of bed herself so she could get ready. After they have gotten ready "Well, well, well mr Sugg I must say you are looking devilishly handsome" said Dianne. "And you miss Buswell look just like a princess" I said twirling her around and giving a kiss. "Shall we go and wake up the birthday girl"? I asked. "Yes let's go and wake her up, she's been sleeping long enough" said Dianne and then we went into Safire's nursery which she had only just moved into, the plan was to move her in there when she was around 6 months old but when we found out she was deaf were to scared. "Aww, there's my birthday girl" said Dianne, we knew she couldn't here us, but we were still encouraged to speak to her as she didn't really understand sign language yet, but we did ask Ashleigh to teach us the sign for happy birthday, so although she didn't really understand it both me and Di signed and said "happy birthday". "Right then missy, we better get you dressed, don't want to show up to your own party in her pjs and stinky nappy" said Dianne. "I'll go and make a start on breakfast" I said and then I made my way downstairs. Dianne's POV I got Safire ready in her special birthday outfit, and I couldn't get over how cute she looked in it.

I went down stairs and saw that joe had finished setting up the party decorations, it looked amazing:

He had also cooked some pancakes "For the birthday princess" said Joe as he put Safi's pancakes in-front of her, she smiled at them delightedly and then proceeded to shove one in her mouth. "Maybe, we should cut them up before she chokes" I said and then I took them off her and then the tears staring flooding. "Oh no, it's okay mommy is bringing them back" Said Joe and then he gave her a piece of banana to keep her happy whilst I cut them up. I gave safi back her pancakes and then sat down to eat my own pancakes. "Hey, you've got something on your face" said Joe. "What, where"? I asked. "Here" said Joe and then he wiped whipped cream on my nose. "Oh yeah, well you've got something on your face to" I said and then I wiped whipped cream on his nose. "Aaah" safi screamed as she couldn't really talk but she did make little sounds. Joe then put a little bit of cream on her nose so she wouldn't feel left out, we were then entertained for a good 20 seconds whilst she tried to lick the cream of her nose but in the end she gave up and just wiped it off with her hand. "Right then I think it's time to go and open some presents" I said "Yep come on let's go" said Joe as he picked up Safi out of her high chair. "Look Safi, what's this"? I said as I gave her a small present. She looked at it and then she flung it across the room. "Woah" said Joe and then he went and got it, thankfully it was soft so it didn't damage anything. "Open it" said Joe as he signed open and then he pulled a little bit of the paper and soon enough Safi was in on the action, after a lot of pulling because she didn't quite realise that she could tear the paper more, but eventually she pulled out a small soft toy.

Soon after that people started arriving for the party. Ben and Amy and their daughter were first to arrive. "Hi guys, glad you could make it" I said. "I want cake" said Faye. "We'll have cake later" said Amy "No cake now" said Faye. "In a minute" I said. After the party "Safi's Out like a light" I said as I got into bed and laid down next to Joe, he was also out like a light. "Goodnight Joey"
AN Sorry I haven't updated it in a while, I know I said that I would have more time to write but my college has been bombarding me with emails saying that I need to upload work and that I have no excuse, because I am now working from home, my excuse was that I needed to binge watch a series of unfortunate events 😂
