The court case

Joe's POV
Today was Friday July 23rd a day that could change mine and Dianne's life forever but I had high hopes, I got ready and then I waited for Dianne.

When they are at the court place.
When we arrived Noah, Alice and Noah's mom where there. I saw Noah's mom looking over at his.
"I was kind of hoping they would have brought Safire, silly name as well especially the spelling" said his mom to him
"Mom, I told you not to get your hopes up they wouldn't even bring her round to mind so they definitely wouldn't bring her here, and anyway I think Safire's cute it's unique and I like that and don't you worry you'll meet your granddaughter soon" said Noah Alice sighed and shook her head and then she came over to us.
"Hey guys" she said
"Hey" said Dianne and I
"Look guys I'm so sorry about all of this I never meant for any of this to happen" said Alice looking sad.
"Don't be, it's not your fault, you told Noah enough times" said Dianne.
"Yeah I know you gave Noah a choice which I wouldn't have minded but he wouldn't even take that.
"Well exactly I gave him the choice and he wouldn't take it" I said.

"Well I suppose I'd better be civil and go and Introduce myself to Joe and Dianne" I heard Noah's mom say and then they both walked over to us.
"Hi joe and Dianne is it"? Asked Noah's mom.
"Hi yes it is" we both said.
"I'm Amanda, Noah's mom" said Amanda.
"Nice to meet you" we said shaking her hand.
"Hello guys we're re ready for you now" said Matthew (the guy who sent the email) so we followed him into the building and down and down a long corridor to the court room.
"Please sit" said the judge so we all sat down.
"So we are here today to decide who will get permanent custody of Safire Paige Sugg who was born on the 4th of March 2020 and she is currently 16 months old, she is currently living with her adoptive parents who she has lived since she was a week old, she was given up by her biological mother Alice Sofia Carson, am I correct in saying that Alice"? Said the judge.
"Yes your honour" said Alice.
"And I am right in saying that you Noah wanted nothing to do with Safire originally"? Asked the Judge.
"Yes your honour, but I'm willing to change to be a good father to my daughter" said Noah.
"I shall now call my first witness to the stand, Alice if you may" said the Judge.
"Thank you your honour, so as you all know I'm here to testify against Noah taking full custody of Safire, I believe that Joe and Dianne are doing an amazing job and there is no reason for her to be taken out of their care, I made the decision to give her up and yes I made that decision without Noah but that's because he wasn't there at the time, he wasn't interested in her throughout my whole pregnancy it's only be around since April this year about a month after her birthday" said Alice.
"Thank you Alice, I will now call my next witness to the stand, Amanda if you please" said the judge.
"Thank you, so I'm here to testify against Joe and Dianne, I believe that my son should have full time custody, she should be with her real father and if I could have it my way she'd with her real mother as well but obviously Alice doesn't care otherwise she wouldn't have given her up and we wouldn't be in this mess" said Amanda. Alice scowled at her, I look at Alice and shook my head knowing that she did love Safire and that was the reason she gave her up and the only reason we were in this mess was because Noah decided that he wanted to be a dad.

Towards the end of case
I have now come to a final decision" said the judge we all waited for what seemed like an eternity, Dianne and Alice were biting their nails, Noah was crossing his fingers and muttering please please please, Amanda was just smiling tossing her hair clearly up herself and my heart was beating so fast that I thought it might pop out of my chest.
"I am sorry to tell you this but Noah you have not won the case, So joe and Dianne well done Safire will be staying with you, case dismissed.
"Thank God" said Dianne.
"Let's go home" I said excited to get back to our little girl.
