Day trip to Brighton

Dianne's POV
a week after the case and everything was back to normal, Noah had tried to message us a few times begging us to see Safire, but eventually he stopped. So today we were going to Brighton  to see Zoe and Alfie as we hadn't seen them since Safire's birthday.

"Let's hit the road, that's also available to buy and the second one" said Joe winking.
"Keep promoting yourself suggy" I said as we left the house.

On the road
We were now about 10 mins away from the beach we had agreed to meet Zoe and Alfie there. We got to the beach and I could see a Zoe waving like mad and a little ball of fur leaping around her feet, but there was no sign of Alfie.
"Hey Zoe" I said walking over to her with Safire  leaving Joe behind.
"Cheers for the help Dot" said Joe sarcastically as he struggled to push the pram over the pebbles.
"Joe I told you to leave the pram in the car if Safire gets tired one of us can carry her and anyway she's a big girl now and can walk all by herself" I said as soon as I said it Safire immediately sat down, disproving my point, she then picked up a pebble and went to put it in her mouth.
"No that's dirty" said Joe, Safire still wouldn't listen.
"Let daddy have it please" said Joe holding his hand out, Safire still wouldn't give it to him so he picked her up and grabbed the pebble out of her hand, she immediately began throwing a tantrum luckily Alfie came to the rescue with ice creams for everyone.
After their ice creams
"Build castle"? Asked Safire. She had remembered building Sandcastles on the beach in Australia.
"No you can't build castles here, there's no sand" I told her but she wasn't listening so she began filling her bucket with pebbles which she had also insisted on bringing. She filled up her bucket and she tipped it over, it was only a small bucket so it was easy for her she then tapped the top and lifted the bucket up but all of her pebbles just poured out and landed in a pile, she tried again and again she even begged Joe to go and her her some water from the ocean and she tried one more time and then gave up on that idea, instead she made a rapids for her Pebbles that were floating in the puddle of water that she had made, she made to rapids by splashing rather viscously.

When they have just gotten home.
Joe's POV
It had been a long day at the beach I carried a sleeping Safire upstairs I took her cochlear implants off so I could put them on charge, I then got her changed into her pyjamas and tucked her into her cot. I then went back down stairs and carried a sleeping Dianne up stairs to our room, I took her shoes and jacket off leaving her in her t-shirt and leggings and then I tucked her up, I then undressed my self and climbed in next to her, falling asleep immediately.
