Is she ready?

Joe's POV
Today we were going to the hospital to see if Safire was ready to get cochlear implants.
"Ready to go"? I asked Dianne as she came down the stairs with Safi in her arms.
"Yep let's go" said Dianne and then we headed out of the door.

At the doctors
"Hey guys, are we all good"? Asked Ava
"Yeah" we both said.
"Right well let's check over Safire and we'll find out if she's ready for the cochlear implants" said Ava and then she checked over Safire.
"I think she's ready" said Ava.
"OMG that's great news" said Dianne.
"Yes so I'll book her in for an appointment with the ear specialist for about 6 weeks time" said Ava.
"Okay thank you" I said and then we left the office.
"Oh I'm so glad we didn't have to wait until she was like 3 years old" said Dianne.
"Me too" I said and then I took her hand and we walked home.

Ava's POV
"Hey Ava, Joe and Dianne didn't collect their hearing aids for Safire, I know they won't do anything but she needs to her used to something being on her ears" said Jessie.
"Oh gosh, I forgot to tell them" I said and then I picked up the phone and I called Joe's number, it just went straight to voice mail.
"I'm gonna quickly pop out, see if I can catch them, I don't have anymore appointments until  4 anyway" I said.
"Well wait a minute, take these" said Jessie as she gave me the earring aids.  I then headed out the door and I walked quickly down the roads, I was lucky that i always saw which way Joe and Dianne came from, so I had some sort of idea of where they came from, after a short while I spotted them.
"Joe, Dianne" I called, they turned around and they spotted me, they started coming towards me.
"Hey Ava what's up"? Dianne asked.
"Sorry guys I forgot to give you these, they won't do much for her hearing but they'll help her get used to something being on her ear" I said.
"Okay thank you" said Joe and then they made their way again.
