Dianne's POV it was now the next day and we were ready to go home, Safire now had her cochlear implants which would be switched on in 3 weeks time. I decided to post on Instagram to let everyone know that she had gotten the implants and that the operation had gone well.

After I posted the photo I noticed that I had a notification saying that an account with the name Alice_carson had liked my post, she had also messaged me.
I opened up the messages and I wonder if they could possibly be from the same Alice we met a few months ago, and it was.

"Safire's out for the count finally" said Joe as he came into the living room. "Okay, oh um by the way, Alice messaged me" I said. "Oh okay, well what did she say and well what did you say"? Joe asked. "She just said that she didn't know that Safire was deaf, I did offer for her to come and see her, but she said that she thinks it's best if she stops away" I said. "Okay" said Joe and then he sat down on the sofa and pulled me into a cuddle.
